An expert’s testimony relies on their perceived trustworthiness. If they lied about their qualifications, it calls into question their honesty in other areas including their analysis. Would they manipulate data? Exaggerate findings? Omit inconvenient details? A pattern of dishonesty, even in unrelated areas, undermines confidence in their work.
If he’s willing to lie about his credentials, how can we trust he’s being truthful in his analysis? Expertise isn’t just about skill it’s about integrity. If he misrepresents his background, it raises legitimate doubts about his reliability as a witness. IMO.
