I'm working from home today, so its the first opportunity I have to actually have it on in the background. Is there an alternative place to watch?
I prefer Law&Crime channel on youtube

Whats up with CourtTV? Why are they so pro-CW?
Maybe it's the witness on the stand and the more detailed data being explained?

The guy needs to cut to the chase - he lost me 45 minutes ago altho I am still listening with half an ear. He did inspect the car/visit the site /take umpteen pictures ( and maybe took a side trip to ride the swan boats in Boston Garden lol)
From what I gather all of Welcher's timing of events is based upon Shanon's timing.
Which then muddies the water for me. But I will continue to listen
I look forward to Alessi's cross -hopefully today if this speeds up.
JMO
I don't have the attention span to listen to this expert. His slides are hard to read. The questioning and the answers are confusing. Too much data. Not good explanations. I'll continue to listen while I work, but wow, this is not clearly presented.

Yes, I was just adding we have a much more educated reconstructionist on the stand right now, which I perceive as a good thing.
I find this latest reconstructionist extremely obtuse. And would imagine the jury does as well. JMOO

Yes and the defense seems very worried about that data, explained by this witness. JMO

What Alessi is most worried about is DiSorga botched his drift calculation by basing it off Karen's iphone clock instead of the Lexus. And that calculation underpins his trial strategy. He has said that plainly to the Judge about 4 times now.

I’m just still chuckling at the idea that the Lexus was sensitive enough to record a three point turn, but not sensitive enough to pick up Karen backing into a 215 pound man? MOO

I'm a fair bit behind and just saw the enlarged techstream chart with the trigger, I noticed the last column had "kph' instead of mph, does he mention if the kph was converted to mph?
I am also behind and noticed this

whenever defense appears upset, some in thread assume it must mean something coming out soon is "bad" for karen. they don't stop to wonder if the attorneys are upset purely based on the fact that this trial is violently unfair, and bev is allowing things for CW that defense wouldn't dream of doing themselves.
Agree. And Alessi was NOT happy this morning, I could hear it in his voice. They must have had a point considering there was a short voir dire, which I am sure we will hear more about why that was done later? I hope so.

I did notice that he tried to show something from Burgess' report, they went to sidebar and when they came back, they moved on.

Replying to myself.. I see the column for mph now 🤪 Hoping to catch up before they come back from lunch! ackk lol

Brennan said in opening the Lexus drove in reverse "at least 70 feet." But Welcher said the data ends with the Lexus going 53 feet in reverse?

Megabits & megabytes are the same thing just like mph and kph. 😜

Okay, so I notice... that everything referencing Burgess' report, is being objected to, and ACTUALLY being sustained, and I've made it to a few sidebars. I'm still about 15 minutes or so until lunch break.. do we know what time they are supposed to be back from lunch?

So they have the Odometer read for trigger two in 1162 key cycle.

Looks like he runs through all the journeys to get the final mileage on seizure to match the final mileage.

Just another corroboration for when Trigger 2 occurred.

i.e at 34F
No.
What I heard was the expert's opinion is: that striking John would have been a minimal impact and wouldn't trigger an event to register. M00

I've seen many defense objections sustained in the prosecution's direct examination of it's witnesses in this second trial.
Justifiably so I might add. JMOO

I am referring to his spreadsheet where he has the mileage read for 1162-1 and 1162-2

I hope Alessi asks that and did you know Brennan gets 75,000 paid by the taxpayers just to prosecute this one case? Here's how much Hank Brennan will get paid to prosecute Karen Read in second trial. Man oh man, if I was a taxpayer there I would be fuming mad!!!!
He will get well above the 75K

The judge is running a tight ship and making sure there's foundation for all questions, defense and prosecution, MO.

Just curious—
Is there anyone here who thinks Karen did it, but agrees the CW didn’t prove it, so IF you were a juror, you would NOT say guilty?

(I think she’s innocent, but can respect the above logic.)
