Ha! I’m just catching up watching The Lawyer You Know and I can’t wait to see it. So far I gather he has no idea how the accident happened and him awkwardly rolling around on the car in blue paint will super duper prove he has no idea what happened.
I am sure he was paid thousands to look like a fool.

My speculative hot take.

The subsequent Lexus BERLA extraction of the SD card is why DOJ allowed Brennan and co to make the 'case closed' announcement.*

They've seen what we've just seen.

MOO/IMO and my speculation only.
The DOJ has not “allowed” anyone to do anything. They have not commented.

Someone mentioned this yesterday and I want to make sure I have the sequence right; on the way from the Waterfall KR missed Fairview and does a 3 point turn, approaches the intersection at the same time as Ryan Nagle and friends, Nagle flashes lights to assure KR she has the right of way and Nagle follows her to 34 F, parking behind her. Sends a text to Julie that they are outside, and this is approx. 12:23? Where they wait ~5 minutes for Julie to come out and then chitchat another few?

Dr. Welcher says KR put the vehicle into reverse and backed up at ~24 mph for 53 feet, sideswiping JOK and sending him pinwheeling to the flag pole area at 12:24? How does she not back into Nagle's vehicle?

From the link posted the US atty office stated the following and I found it strange that after the case closed announcement they wouldn't comment yea or nay.
"Asked Monday whether the federal investigation into O'Keefe's death and Read's arrest was over, a representative for the U.S. Attorney's Office for Massachusetts said they didn't have a comment."

"Based on the totality of the evidence, DNA, everything I've talked about, that is consistent with that happening," Welcher said. "With a reasonable degree of scientific certainty, that is what happened."

@ 6:43:00

Did I miss him elaborating about DNA because I don't remember it? Or was it just mentioned in passing......

LYK has held out with his members/audience waiting for Dr. Welcher's testimony and last night he stated that he doesn't believe the CW has "proved beyond a reasonable doubt".

@ 24:30

What is it with these black (wedding?) bands?
Both Burgess and Welcher are wearing them.

They're light and flexible, made of silicone, and ideal for people who work with their hands or those who don't want the rigidity of a precious metal ring. They are a popular alternative for millennials and younger. I know a few people wearing them now.

Not quite. Welcher stated the 3-pt turn was around 12:23.xx and the reversing event was 8 minutes later, which would make it around 12:32.xx. I can't recall the seconds, but those seconds matter.

So, the way Welcher has described means it would have happened after Ryan Nagel and his friends pulled away and passed her SUV, seeing no John inside. And what about all the people at the party looking out the doors and windows at Karen's SUV every few seconds, texting, calling and waiting for John to come inside. How could they have missed her pulling forward, then speeding backwards and hitting John, leaving him to lay RIGHT THERE in their line of sight.

‘Watching the “blue paint” experiment: isn’t the expert going in the wrong direction after the mock impact? Based upon where John was found, shouldn’t the expert in his experiment be going backwards (in the direction of the moving vehicle) as opposed to forward (towards the neighbor’s house)?’

Yep, fashion and safety.

Haha...and misses BH's jeep that was parked at the mail box in the street??

Exactly, they would have had to have seen it, had it occurred. Those folks sure were anxious for John to get into the house...for some reason.

Thanks for the correction, I started wondering about the last lock on JOK's phone at 12:31 and thought Wait, that timing makes no sense. Then again, so much of the CW's case makes no sense.

Key people: ChrisA invited John to the Waterfall, made sure BH insisted he go to the Alberts. Jen Mc also insisted John go to Alberts, even wanted to separate John from Karen on the drive to 34th.

Karen....did not really want to go. What did she sense?

Agreed! My brother (in his 40s) has one as do most of his friends and they are all in professional/office type jobs. It's a trend/style choice for them rather than a necessity due to job safety or something like that. I didn't like the style when I first saw it but now I see it so much that it doesn't even register with me. IMO
