A low level officer early in her career was called to a solo meeting with the police commissioner prior to taking the stand in a murder trial. At the center of this trial are allegations of investigator misconduct and planting of evidence, with third party culprits involving various members of law enforcement. She’s told by Cox to do the right thing. Dever then recants her statements and testifies she had false memories. She was combative and hostile on the stand. She was the epitome of the blue wall. IMO

She was very comfortable in her attitude, no fear there, just anger and resentment that she was called at all. Very cringy smarmy personality that made it even more clear that she was also a NON critical thinker or personal integrity, job or no job. She knows well what was done in the sally port and by who, a set up for an innocent woman. Disgusting . IMO

I agree. Brennan crossed her and I'm pretty sure if time records existed he would have found them and had them ready. The defense produced all sorts of records when they crossed Burgess which the CW didn't produce on direct. Alessi spent time getting those docs numbered and put into evidence. Brennan may make questionable choices but he wasn't born yesterday. So yeah Imo there were no time records to support Dever's recant and claims of false memory to the fbi. I assume the jury noticed that. IMO.

Yes, they do. Dever was working a double shift already. She was on the overnight shift and stayed on to work the day shift.

I think they are isolating the impact of the arm on the taillight, no need for the body to be attached. He isn’t looking to see the impact on the arm.

Test D - 29 mph - the arm got ripped off from the suspension tielines.

More reflective of what they were trying to do and replicating what Welcher tried to show, more central impact to the arm. (Test C ended up being more of a side swipe)

Random Thought - None of this evidence planting I feel was done in this case was ever meant to be brought about in a court of law. I feel that the evidence planting was simply to put pressure on KR to cop a plea. Remember- no one ever thought we'd end up several years later on a 2nd trial.

In case it is not clear. These tests were done in response to Welcher's report. They did the testing that Welcher did not do. IMO

Yes I definately didn't see any fear. I was looking for a word to describe her attitude and demeanour when testifying; in an earlier post I came up with entitled, smug and arrogant but you said it, Imo contempt (and yes, pure) is spot on.

I think his shoe shows where he was standing, in the road. The first taillight pieces found by SERT were in the same area of the road, on the asphalt. They didn't search the grass because their primary focus was the road, to try to avoid losing any evidence to road traffic.

The grass around JOK and that lawn was def 'searched' by the leaf blower, layer by layer, softly.. nothing was found. Watch that vid you will see how impossible to NOT have found BRIGHT RED pieces, lots of people right there looking down for anything at all, the reason for the 'looking'. No deep snow, the man using the leaf blower was ACTIVELY looking for anything, to repeat. NO red plastic pieces. You probably did watch that vid to see that ? IMO

The CW paid more than 300k.. I would be very very angry.
