If/when Brennan goes after her for this garbage, AJ will be able to talk to her about it as well. Anything Brennan says can be refuted by him and it will annoy the jury further.

I know, I just can't wrap my head around it.
No one should have to, let alone the jury who may nonetheless need to on some level. Jmo

So Brennan has been given permission by the court to cross Dr L on the Station Fire and her leaving the ME office.

You have got to be joking. How?

It’s infuriating to watch Brennan take his sweet time, walking the jury through every single point without interruption, no eye rolls, no sighs, no time limits. Meanwhile, Jackson and Alessi are constantly cut off, rushed, or met with visible annoyance. Just this morning, Jackson simply asked to make his record, and Cannone flat-out denied him. The double standard is glaring, and an insult to the idea of a fair trial,

It's good this trial is getting as much coverage as it is.

People need to be made aware of the judge's behavior.

The truly disturbing thing is The Honorable Judge Cannone (J.D in 1985 at the New England College School of Law.*) doesn't care who sees it. She is not even pretending to be unbiased.

*New England Law Boston is ranked No. 166 (tie) out of 195 in Best Law Schools

I am catching up. Did we have X-rays in season one?

Probably one of the most frustrating things to watch in this trial is Judge Cannone rush the defense constantly asking how long they are going to take. Then she just allows Brennan to ask the same question 5 times in a row because he isn’t getting the answer he wants. His cross goes way longer than the defenses direct. Not once does she rush him or ask him to move along, more like “I’ll allow it”

He’s not a prosecutor by profession though. I don’t think he has that true desire for justice. He’s a hired gun that’s essentially acting as the defense counsel of Proctor and the McAlbert’s IMO

Speaks volumes that the Commonwealth wasn't able to find someone with significant prosecution experience to take on this hot mess. I'll bet they tried but couldn't find a competent, qualified attorney to do their bidding.

So true and glaringly obvious. Someone's life is on the line. She shouldn't be hurrying either side but certainly not the defense. KR is entitled to a fair trial! If it was me or my family, I would be so upset about all of this.

It's useless. Large time taking of attempting to discredit her over this incident that was 'political' in R.Island at the time a 'million' years ago as well. The jury I bet will pay little attention to this in the grand scheme of things such as her TESTIMONY, credentials for decades. IMO

I couldn’t agree more. My only consolation on this is I truly believe the jury is just as sick of Brennan’s nasal whine as I am and that’s the source of their being “fed up,” so the more he’s allowed to drone on the less the jury probably likes him

Looks like Brennan can not compete with Laposata"s intellect so now the dirty mob lawyer will try character assasination...IMO
I think she can handle him. The information has been out there and I am sure she has been questioned on it before. It will most likely leave more of a stain on Hank.

But why bring it up now - she has been on the witness list forever. He did not bring it up in voire dire bc there is no jury there. This is just an attempt at character assassination - fingers crossed it blows up on Hank

AJ can also be the clean up guy if necessary.

This trial just drags on forever right?

I am not sure we get to Rentshler today.

No Imo never raised by either side. But the cw have known since 2022 and the autopsy that x-rays were taken of course. Why wouldn't they. They came in this trial because of Welcher and Brennan trying to insinuate they may not exist. Not that Brennan didn't try to stop that from happening today. Jmo

You read my mind!!! I just commented something so similar up thread! It’s seriously maddening.

I dont think so - we just got them today in season 2.

IIRC the p's expert Welcher said that no xrays were taken of the arm - and maybe Brennan too
in reference to whether there was a broken arm ( the dog bite arm)- something like "We will never know if it was broken or not - no xrays were taken".

Did Brennan also mention the no xrays to Wolfe recently under cross?

I was not watching when they got put in to evidence thru Dr L.

Whre did AJ get them?

The judge is dragging everything out and yet yesterday she was complaining about “wasted time” and how the jury is fed up. Out of spite I really hope Higgins and Proctor are called in. Drag it into next week.

It's horrible, irrelevant and filthy. Twenty two years ago... Relevance???? The judge will allow the irresponsible prosecutor Brennan to exploit this tragedy in the distant past of the witness.

Imo gaslighting. The anxiety this kind of unpredictability generates is terrible. Bederow talks about ( trial tweet upthread) how no one can predict what she will do, how she will rule, anything really, what she will say, when she will end a cross, when she will call a break, if she will chuck a hissy fit. The defense must be on constant tenterhooks. I'm impressed with their fortitude. Jmo

Welp, this has backfired spectacularly on Brennan!!!

The Judge allowed AJ and Alessi to conduct marathon cross examinations of Jen McCabe, Shanon Burgess and Yuri Bukhenik that went on for days in total. Never once has she denied them time. IIRC Brennans cross of star witness Dr Wolfe was around 2 hours in comparison.

Hank's bringing in her "controversies" sure didn't work out. She is just amazing at dealing with him!
