That is very clear now.
Is it? I must be thick-headed then because I don't understand how they indicate they are NG on manslaughter but HUNG on OUI. If they check box 1, it is NG on manslaughter and all lesser. If they check box 5 that means they all agree she is NG of manslaughter but guilty of OUI. If they all agree NG on manslaughter, but can't agree on OUI, I still don't see how they fill out this form. The university who granted me my master's degree must be so disappointed in me. LOL

Jury is off to deliberate!

Judge told all the lawyers to be back in the courtroom before 4pm today.

I’d ask the bailiff/court personel for a bigger piece of paper than that notecard and write Jidge Bev a big old letter about what exactly is going on.

This makes sense & is how the jury needs to explain.

I was watching her say that after she sent th ejury off
I am assuming unless there is an earlier verdict and then she will notify ?

If the jury notifies Judge Cannone that they have a verdict, there will be a 10 minute warning, and then everyone will come back in to hear the verdict. From my understanding, they wouldn’t wait till 4 to read the verdict if they already have it.

If they are NG of manslaughter, they sign the form and that's their verdict.
They don't proceed to the OUI.
If they select G of OUI, they do not choose NG, but go straight to that and check that.

The one thing not clear to me and perhaps to the jury is if they choose only OUI, does it convict her of manslaughter since it's one of the lesser charges under manslaughter. I know they spoke in court it does not convict of manslaughter, so I don't understand why it's listed as a lesser charge and not a standalone. I can't remember if the judge stated this clearly to the jury when she walked them through it though.

If they hang on manslaughter, or any of the lesser includeds, it is a hung verdict on count two manslaughter, because that is the offense she was charged with.

She was not indicted on OUI as an independent offense, OUI was always tied in with the manslaughter of John. Therefore if they didn't feel she was proven drunk it should be not guilty as charged. IMO

However, we are where we are with all the lesser includeds, including involuntary manslaughter with no OUI, and OUI separate to everything, at the defence request.

I think this jury has it figured out despite judge Cannone’s best efforts to confuse and have a mistrial instead of a NG sweep or only the OUI charge.

Cannone has no shame, typically you’d hope someone would get ostracized or face consequences for acting as she is but she knows she won’t, moo

Can someone please help me untangle my brain? Regarding charge #2, I can't figure out how the jury would fill out this form if they find her NG on manslaughter, but are hung on the OUI lesser charge. It would seem that this slip gives the jury no option to find NG on manslaughter and hang on that.

Assuming they all agree she is NG of manslaughter, if they also all agree she is NG on OUI, they would check box 1.

Assuming they all agree she is NG of manslaughter, if they also all agree she is guilty on OUI, they would check box 5 (and potentially the motor vehicle/.08% boxes).
t
But, if they all agree she is NG on manslaughter, but are hung on JUST on box 5, how do they fill out this form??

Please explain this to me like I'm a 5 year old because I have confused the heck out of myself. LOL
I want the jury to write "NOT GUILTY" on each of the lesser includeds they agree on, just to be sure the CW does not try KR again.

Acting like a bunch of posers.
Kinda sad considering what's at stake.

No matter the verdict, my biggest wish is the defendant disappears from the limelight never to be heard of again.

Yes, exactly. When they first started deliberating she said she would give 10 minutes notice for the verdict. (Yanetti said his office is 10 minutes away)

The continued accusations of judicial misconduct and corruption in these threads is wild.

What's wild to me is how they can get away with that misconduct and corruption with no consequences.

I am in the minority, I think she did do it and was too drunk to know she hit him. The weather finished him off.
