Wow wow wow. So I'm assuming one of the jurors changed their minds. Wonder which way they were turning?

Now I'm really worried this will be like trial 1. Seems like this person (or persons) really doesn't want to change their mind!

If dropping F-bombs equates to murder, I’m in trouble. I probably say that word in some form or fashion at least 20 times a day. 😂 I’ve certainly been known to leave an angry F-bomb riddled voicemail in my lifetime as well. Based on these threads, there are probably a lot of people on this board who wouldn’t like me very much. But that still wouldn’t make me a murderer. IMO
Same. The F word is very useful and I employ it liberally.

That said, I watched one of the documentaries and I came away with a more than moderate dislike of Karen Read. There’s just something about her that I don’t like (it’s not the language) but I’d never be able to find her guilty. I don’t believe she deliberately hit JO and I don’t think she did it accidentally.

The investigation was like a neon arrow flashing “blame Karen Read,” ignore anything that doesn’t point to her and if there’s insufficient evidence to get an indictment, invent some.

They signed at least one verdict slip. Judge sealed it.

They have to be confused/arguing about that stand alone lesser included which is confusingly attached to the manslaughter slip. AJ was totally right.

Because a juror is now disagreeing with the verdict. So they signed off, gave it to the court officer, then someone said they weren’t comfortable with it?
If that juror signed off it's a done deal, though, right???

Can a jury have take backs after they’ve already completed the jury form and turned it in?
Yes, until it’s read in open court.

Wow. That's very frustrating. Can't make this up.

Is it though? Because wouldn’t it just have been read? I don’t get this!!!

Judge Cannone is correct in saying there is no verdict because it hasn’t been read in open court. They need to go through the process of being announced in open court, and the jury affirming - her asking ‘is this your verdict?’ And them agreeing. It’s legally allowable. But I have NEVER heard of this happening before.

People must be tearing their hair out in that courtroom.

I cannot believe this just happened. KR and family going in for verdict. Now the verdict has been rescrinded?

Hos long does it take before I have a nervous breakdown? 😂

Wonder if the defense knew this was going to happen when they showed up

Well, do we think that this will be quickly settled and a verdict in before 4?

IMO this means they came to a contentious decision on the one charge they couldn’t agree on yesterday. They fill it out, alert the court officer… then someone says ‘I’m sorry, this doesn’t feel right. I can’t vote this way’.

Idk… I just can’t see that happening any other way.

I expect they just wanted to discuss it some more. I think the verdict will be along soon. MOO
