The evidence clearly wasn't there, the state didn't even come close to proving he was hit by a vehicle. I'd say the jurors saw the truth through all the falsehoods and lies presented by Proctor, tampered videos, the magically destroyed tail light, etc. I do feel sorry for his family and friends that werent involved because of a ****** investigation by Proctor who seemingly didn't want the truth to come out
In my opinion the truth did come out and was ignored.

Proctor's 20/20 and Dateline serve 2 purposes. 😡

1. Damage control.
2. Infiltrating the minds of future jury members for the civil case.
IMO, pathertic ABC had to get this piece of gatbage out there right away???

Obviously the "evidence" wasn't "clearly there" for the 12 jurors to convict her of manslaughter and I've seen your "scared" accusation used quite often when one doesn't agree with a jury's verdict as the latest go-to.
IMO
And I've seen jury intimidation before.

Hos long until we hear from the jury?

I don’t know the terms for her probation but if I were KR, I would take at least a couple weeks vacation at a beach w/out devices/social media. Then, I would move out of that state and start fresh. What a nightmare she has been through. I wish her much health, happiness and healing. Just as important, I pray that there is some courageous LE who takes the reins and gets justice for John O’Keefe.
I would stay right there!! It is her home. She used to have a happy productive life. She'll get it back. She has nothing to run from, unlike some others.

The real travesty would’ve been convicting someone based on assumptions, hypotheticals, and emotion-based arguments instead of actual evidence. A full acquittal on all charges related to John’s death means the jury didn’t just have doubts, they found the state’s ENTIRE theory unconvincing. That’s reasonable doubt. They saw it. If your takeaway is that the jurors were either too dumb or too scared, maybe you’re the one struggling with the verdict. JMO.
In my opinion the real travesty was the outright lies from a woman who knows what she did, she said she did and then lied to cover it up. ALL just my opinions.

How exactly was the truth ignored when the evidence pointed to something other than the CWs theory about what happened?

Seriously? But if the jury came back guilty, you wouldn’t be crying jury intimidation, right? Only when it’s not the outcome you wanted?

It feels to me that you are struggling with the outcome of this trial, and that’s fine. But IMO, the insinuations of the jury being dumb and/or fearful are completely distasteful.

Edit: corrected a word

Exactly. The jury didn’t ignore the truth, they rejected a theory that didn’t match the evidence. That’s how the justice system is supposed to work.

Don't know what others take on it was/is but that reading of the verdict sure was not in the form that most courtrooms in the US do it. It was all so rushed and unclear. If you blinked you missed it and jury foreperson seemed himself to be confused on the reading. Bev gave no warnings about decorum in the court room. And then the sentencing.....Bev actually wanted to make them wait a week for a misdemeanor oui? Good for HB for getting that job done. I don't know if it was on purpose but zero cameras on the JOK family. I assume they left quickly and while I agree with verdict boy that must have been a tough scene getting out of the court area yesterday for them.
Anyone see any of them on the talk show circuit please post. I usually miss all of that. Thank you for all the comments and discussion for this trial....so nice to see others are thinking the same thoughts as we moved thru this trial. See you on the next one!
Her courtroom has no decorum!

not one person that was in that courtroom has even alluded to that... just because it wasn't the outcome you wanted, doesn't mean the jury didn't do their job.

I have read some pretty ridiculous posts on X about this jury, from lawyers/reporters (or say they are reporters lol). I don't even want to share so it doesn't give them any clicks, but they are not hard to find.

I get it... if they had found her guilty, a lot of us would be saying .. what in the world were they thinking? haha BUT.. they didn't find her guilty of murder/manslaughter ;)

Still hoping they come forward so we will know their thoughts on the trial! Maybe it will help those that are still holding on to her being guilty?

Yep, same thing as "the election was stolen (unless I won)" JMO

If they found her guilty I'd accept it but I definitely wouldn't be here crying about jury intimidation and other made up stuff. Was it jury intimidation during T1 when the McAlberts were staring daggers at the jury during closings? Funny, certain posters didn't mention that then. JMO

I don't know if I am allowed to say that Bederow said last night that the gag order is now lifted and people are much freer to talk. He seems to suggest (and he ought to know because he is representing TurtleBoy and was going to join the Defense but Bev said he couldn't) that there is a lot of additional information out there that will likely get revealed now that the gag order is lifted. Should be fascinating. MOO only. Sorry if this isn't allowed.
Yeh something will likely come out when they are all drunk

Easy money for him. Really nothing to lose. He’s not a committed prosecutor that has dedicated his professional career to seeking justice for victims. Just a hired gun. Money for nothin’.

So, he lost. Hurt his reputation? Naw. Even if it did, he’s got half a million to soothe his ego.
as we got into the case I think he wished he was on the defense team.

It's really telling that Brian Higgins was not included in that statement from the gang!
I wonder if he got demoted from his friendship with them?
It always bothered me that Brian Higgins, the big galoot that he is, stated in testimony that he was close friends with Brian Albert and Kevin Albert, while Brian Albert testified he didn't consider BH a close friend. There was distancing from the Alberts right from the beginning.
I saw BH as trying to fit in with whomever would include him, that he always wanted to have company or be with someone, usually at a bar or drinking events, and that he didn't fit anywhere really, like a leaf blowing in the wind.
I found that he lurked around Karen Read likely even before he "drove by" John's home and went out of his way to turn his car around to talk to her when she flipped him off and told him her bf was a Boston cop.
She picked up on his attraction to her, and when KR finally paid some attention to him, he thought he'd won the lottery! At the same time, because he's such a loser, he couldn't believe she'd be interested in him and could never embrace it, constantly questioning her like an insecure man that always defensive with her. I don't believe he cared one bit about John O'Keefe in his flirting with Karen Read. He only cared about being found out.
I still think he did something that night to affect John O'Keefe's life.
MOO
I completely agree with everything you wrote.

I can’t recall if where I read this theory, so please forgive me if it’s someone here.

I believe JMc and the gang planned to tell JOK that his girlfriend had been in communication with Higgins. I think some in that group love the drama and wanted to shame and expose her as a ‘liar/cheater’ in front of John.
IMO, Higgins was clearly agitated at The Waterfall. In the video, you can see Higgins texting KR, hoping she’d respond, but she ignored him. Before he leaves the Waterfall, Higgins has to be held back by his friends as he’s gesturing and yelling at JOK. JOK blows him off, laughs and turns around to sign his bar tab. JMc personally invites KR back to 34F. She did it in a way that caused KK to view the invite as a little strange. To me, it seems as if JMc tried to separate KR and JOK by asking KR to drive with her back to 34F. At the time, John and MMc were helping the band pack up their equipment. I believe JOK was ready to leave the bar earlier than anticipated, so he and KR drove together.
I’m not sure what happened to cause his death, but it happened in that house. All moo!
