And, WHAT ABOUT THE DOG???? A GSD would NEVER sleep through that kind of racket on its own property!
As someone who has two dogs that are part GSD, SO MUCH THIS!! Not sure why I never thought about that. My two will wake up from a dead sleep and bark like crazy and run through the house if someone even walks by the house, even worse if they have dogs. I came home from work the other day and a local fiber optic company was doing some work in front of my house. My dogs were howling and baying like there was no tomorrow because of all the noise and racket. I've only heard them like that once or twice and they are 4 1/2 years old. That dog would have been going nuts

With the possible exception of Chris, I doubt any of them needed the money. Brian was making 250k a year before he retired and is on a full police pension and Matt owns a successful IT business. Neither of the women have ever needed to work. They did this for public relations reasons only. Don't look at us! See how innocent we are!

I think it's safe to say that mission was not accomplished.
PR...the family has another trial coming up. I really don't know what the relationship is of the actual JOK family and this group. I have to think that somewhere along the way one of the JOK inner circle has questioned if they really have the right person? I think Peggy drives the bus and is so overwhelmed with hate for Karen and needs to focus on her guilt. I think John Sr. is not of the same thinking. As a couple facing this I have never seen them walking together and most of the time he is not there. Wonder if either niece or nephew were at the verdict reading? They are older now.

Does anyone know the reason they were not admitted? I must have missed that or is it another "sealed" discussion?

i believe they weren't admitted because they were leaning towards a third party culprit defense, which was not allowed.

Chloe was I think sent home with someone to get rid of her. She would have been going crazy with people in yard and eventually Jen coming in.

Proctor's sister is very good friends with Chris Albert's wife, Julie. She's the one who stated that she was gonna get him a gift "when this is all over". Yup
It's too hard to keep up with all the intertwining in this case. Really need a bulletin board with photos and red string connecting all the people together

Thats an interesting theory. Who could they have possibly set her home with considering her temperament towards people?

Same as with the garage photos. Which were almost certainly taken the same day as the bedroom window photo. Recall the judge wouldn't allow mention of the garage so my guess is she excluded everything.

Notice Alan Jackson can be seen in one or two of the garage photos. The new owners have been cooperative with the defense. They say the Alberts' real estate agent (a pal of theirs who was seen with anti-Karen Read people in front of the courthouse at times during the last trial) never told them about what had happened on the front lawn and when they moved in, they were shocked to see all the drive-bys (guiltily raises own hand) and lookieloos coming by at all hours. I guess it's legal not to disclose something like this in MA, but they still weren't happy.

So they allowed the defense access to the house on at least one occasion when those photos were likely taken. My guess is this was too third party culprit-ish for the judge so they didn't come in.

Caitlin Albert had planned to spent the night in her parents' home. Boyfriend Tristan Morris had gone home to sleep in his home in the town of Easton because he wanted to be up early to do plow work.

But for a reason never explained during testimony, Caitlin suddenly called Tristan in the middle of the night and asked him to come get her, which he did. Some have speculated they brought Chloe to Easton with them.

I don't understand this at all. Of course it was a third party.

I don't, but it probably was a side bah. I do know the judge sustained objections by Hank when the defense tried to bring up the garage and it's "ridged" surfaces.

Judge wouldn't allow that defense in. Only the Bowden defense. Corrupt/conflicted LE. There were plenty of arguments about this leading up to trial 2.

ETA: Consider the fact that the CW did not call Brian Albert, Matt McCabe and all the others present in the home that night. Brennan was 'protecting' them (IMO ) and the judge agreed with this " No third party defense".

It would look a bit like this... haha

I still don't know all the "house" people... who is married to who.... who the kids are, etc. In the 2nd trial, it really didn't matter, and the CW didn't parade them all in this time. Everyone blames the defense for that in the 1st trial, but it was Lally that called them all as witnesses.

Oh ya. Favors worth sending an innocent person to prison. Must be bodies literally buried and Albert knows where
The people of the area have got to be relieved if for no other reason than that attention has been brought to the area. No way to live thinking that some people walk and others don't. I still would like to know how the Alberts became so powerful. Does anyone know??? Was their dad a cop? Grandfather?

IMO, BA is just a low-rent 🤬🤬🤬🤬 in a uniform. Wonder what their new area thinks of them and were they recieved well there. KA might be a close 2nd. CA is a wannabe, who skated from a conviction and I know nothing about the other siblings. Were there sisters and BILs?

Other than the obvious, why would BA move from his childhood home and town? Really, it seems cowardly and shows he is not as tough as he wants everyone to think.

The McCs are just hanger-ons. JMc looks like she has had some 'work' done and NA needs some, JMO.

I wonder, given all that the kids have been through, what their life is like now. They really had no other option but to live with the O'Keefe grandparents and wonder what that is like. How are they more suitable now than when JOK fought for them. What about their paternal grandparents and family?
As they get older, as they form their own opinion, they will have anger issues from all that they have been fed. IMO, KR was a good influence on them.

The niece was sitting with the family during one day of the trial, but I didn't see her at the verdict reading. John's father lives in Braintree still; John's mother lives in John's former house with the kids.

I don't know what John's father thinks, only that his face is the picture of terrible pain. His mother clearly still despises Karen and is very good friends with Jen McCabe.

Paul was likely hoping and praying for Manslaughter, but not Murder 2. A manslaughter conviction would have been awesome for his civil case. Insurance companies don't cover "intentional" criminal acts and unlike Murder 2, it wouldn't have required any degree of intent on Karen's part and probably would be handled by her carrier like any other at-fault pedestrian accident. And therefore settled for big money by her carrier, with possible contributions from the bars that served her that night. With no insurance coverage and Read likely broke after all this, a big pay day would be far less likely. As the saying goes, you can't get blood from a stone.

If you watch the video of the reading of the verdict, Paul has no reaction to the Murder 2 Not Guilty, but is clearly distressed when he hears she was not guilty of manslaughter. His civil case will continue regardless, but now he has to try much harder to prove his brother was hit by her car. The insurance civil defense attorneys will have access to ARCCA (and the deep pockets to pay for them) and Paul will need to find and fund his own experts. Probably not Aperture, but all biomechanical experts are very expensive.

If she was sent home with someone she knew and kept from stangers, she likely would be ok. Tough to keep her from strangers though. I hope she was in fact rehomed to someone who could handle her. GS are big dogs and can be aggressive but to be vicious and attack to me has to be taught or encouraged. Likely BA was her A person, the one she responded to and I can see him teaching her to attack. Just like pit bulls, thay aren't born mean.

I bet someone has done this on tiktocy.
And if one finds a video ,please share with me!
There is a video on YouTube I saw some time ago. The person used a ballistic arm, with simulated bones and everything. Hit it a 25 miles per hour with a Lexus light fixture supported by a frame extended from the car. Light ha. 4 pieces come off. The arm was obliterated.

Chloe supposedly was in the A's bedroom which is in the front of the house basically overlooking the flag-pole.

Someone familiar with her, like the daughter or son of the owner who lives elsewhere, or a friend who she is familiar with who doesn’t have a dog. Or, they could have put her in a room in the back part of the house after the first responders showed up so she wouldn’t bark.

Brian Albert said Chloe was in the bedroom when Jen burst in. Jen said she didn’t see Chloe. Who’s telling the truth and who isn’t? I don’t think Chloe was there because she would have been barking madly at the sound of Karen screaming on the lawn. Even if no sirens were on, the flashing red and blue lights are enough to wake up anyone in the front rooms of the house. The sound of the engines would have been loud. They don’t turn those off. There is no way Chloe would have stayed asleep through all this and there is no way Brian and Nicole Albert both stayed in a “cold” sleep. No way.

The Brian Alberts covered this by claiming under oath that Chloe girl was sleeping in the closet in their bedroom with the door closed. So deaf, dumb and blind to anything going on. Convenient. But IMHO, one of their more obvious lies.
