Someone familiar with her, like the daughter or son of the owner who lives elsewhere, or a friend who she is familiar with who doesn’t have a dog. Or, they could have put her in a room in the back part of the house after the first responders showed up so she wouldn’t bark.
Brian Albert said Chloe was in the bedroom when Jen burst in. Jen said she didn’t see Chloe. Who’s telling the truth and who isn’t? I don’t think Chloe was there because she would have been barking madly at the sound of Karen screaming on the lawn. Even if no sirens were on, the flashing red and blue lights are enough to wake up anyone in the front rooms of the house. The sound of the engines would have been loud. They don’t turn those off. There is no way Chloe would have stayed asleep through all this and there is no way Brian and Nicole Albert both stayed in a “cold” sleep. No way.
