We've seen on many cases here where that changes.
I have a feeling it will change. The McStay family's case is a good example of how that happens

Does anyone know if there is a husband or ex-husband in her life? A boy friend?

Everything I have read is that she is single - not sure how long that status has been the case. It's odd there doesn't seem to be much going on - I wonder if she went in the backyard for something and was taken?

I live a few towns over and while it has been front page on the local paper there are very few details. They mentioned police canvassing the neighborhood this week. I hope they are getting any security came ra/ football camera footage there is. Have they polygraphed the family member that gave her the ride from the car shop? Have they questioned the staff and other customers at the car shop? Are there SOs in her neighborhood? Why did she move? We're there any old exes or boyfriends who had been bothering her? What do her landline phone records show? Someone knows something! These cases always seem to move so slowly :( Where are you Sandra?

Statistically, this wasn’t a random abduction... but her family seems genuinely clueless, so if it’s someone she knows, it seems they don’t know about them. I’m wondering the same things as you ... ex? Someone back in Quincy? Obsessed neighbor/stalker? Delivery person? Self-harm is always a specter in these cases, but where would she be?? She’d have had to have walked somewhere. Just seems really unlikely.

I agree. I really want to believe she is ok, but something just doesn't feel right about this case to me.

just a few thoughts I want to throw out there ( I realize we don't have inside info) according to this MSM that has already been posted The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) although they have the last contact date wrong, by going off of other MSM we have:
8/7 Wed afternoon dropped off by family member to her home, talked with family that evening.
8/8 Thursday no contact when family called
8/9 Fri- she is a no show to babysit the grandchildren and the wording in the above article says she didn't SHOW at the grandchildren's home which says to me she should have had her car back by then. So this repair should have taken place on Thursday 8/8. Who was supposed to take her to get the car? ( could this be why family members were calling her Thur with no answer?
As for the dog, do we know what kind of dog she has? Large/small? Does she have to walk the dog for a distance or a smaller dog that could be left out back quick (neighbors should know. She could have been in the habit of keeping her back door open to easily let the dog out, is it fenced in? The dog had no food/water and everything (ac/lights etc) were running. I'm thinking something happened Wed night early Thurs. She could have fed the dog but only enough for 1 day hence the no food/water for Thur and Fri.

also, could she have by chance left her house keys on her key chain when she dropped her car off?

This is IMO

It would appear that way. Wed. night...
I'm wondering if someone was already in the house, when she spoke to family on the phone.

Apparently there are sightings of her in Fall River

Missing local woman has reported sightings in Fall River
Welcome to Websleuths, ZiggyZaggy! :)

That is interesting. Fall River Police Dept. posted the same on their FB page yesterday: City of Fall River Police Department

Fall River is almost an hour away from Hanson: Google Maps

I wonder if she has a "look-alike." Otherwise, why would she be in Fall River and how did she get there? I most certainly don't see her just up and leaving (willingly) her grandchildren, her dog, house unlocked, etc. MOO

A couple of days ago I contacted the Hanson Police Department via email because I saw a woman on August 20 who very strongly resembled her. I was told a detective would get back to me. Still haven't heard a word back. I'm in Rhode Island.

I mean this woman could've been her. I transfer staring at her and thinking how she was dressed very nice and wearing a blue flowy shirts and she had blue makeup on and I was thinking that it matched her blue eyes. I did read that she had green eyes, but I also saw some articles said blue eyes. She looked like a friend of mine. That's how I remember so well.

This is shocking.

In a good way, if true.

Who made these sightings? I have seen her picture many times, but if I saw her an hour away from where she went missing, I would never recognize her since I wouldn't connect the dots.

Wouldn't reportable sightings have be from someone who knows her, or is specifically searching for her?

Not sure. I didn't report sightings in Fall River. I reported possible sightings in Rhode Island. Not sure why nobody ever contacted me. I also asked for more picture of her so I could see her makeup style.

Hopefully, someone astute enough to take a picture... MOO

Police Looking For Information After Hanson Grandmother ‘Vanished’ Weeks Ago

August 26, 2019

[...]
“I pulled up to her house. We looked in her front window and all the lights were on. The dog had been there, he didn’t have any food, didn’t have any water. The back door was unlocked and there was no sign of her,” she said.

Crispo does not have a cell phone or computer. Her daughter said she has no health issues and is single.

Police Looking For Information After Hanson Grandmother 'Vanished' Weeks Ago
RSABBM:

To the bolded portion:

This is highly, highly unusual.
I don't know a single person her age who does not own a computer and/or a cell.
Not. One.

She also moved into her home within the past few months, per MSM.
What prompted the move?

Was there a reason she didn't want a digital/electronic footprint that could be tracked?

Is she employed? If not, how does she support herself financially?

We're missing a big piece of the puzzle here.

It is odd, especially to have neither one, but I can think of a couple of reasons for not having a cellphone.

It could be that prior to her move, she lived with someone who had her on his/her plan, or a former employer furnished her with a cellphone. So, when she moved, she no longer had a cell and hasn't been able to replace it yet? Moving can be expensive. MOO

Yeah, I had wondered about that.

It speaks to a personal isolation for her. No particular need to be contacted by anyone on short notice. Living in a new town.

What was her mindset?

Yes, I see what you're saying. Great point, Pommy!
I do wonder whether or not she's had a recent relationship split.
If she was living with someone prior to moving, perhaps that person owned the house, phone, computer, etc.

No question about it, moving is expensive, but if it were a monetary issue, wouldn't a prepaid cell be a cheaper option than hooking up a landline service, with all the accompanying start-up fees involved there?
It hasn't been reported anywhere in MSM that I've seen that she's employed...has anyone else seen info r/t work?
It may in fact be the case that she lacks the financial resources to have a computer or cell phone.

Her car had just been dropped off for repairs that day.
I'm sure LE has spoken with the mechanic(s).
It would be interesting to know what repairs were needed, and whether they were going to be expensive.
If she was financially strapped, getting bad news re: an unanticipated bill could be a huge stressor.

Financial stressors can be a trigger for all sorts of bad things.

I haven't had a landline in so long I have no idea what is required to set one up, lol. If she already had service in her name, I'd guess there might be a transfer fee but I really don't know.

I'm curious about her employment too. We are lacking so much information here. MOO
