RSABBM:

To the bolded portion:

This is highly, highly unusual.
I don't know a single person her age who does not own a computer and/or a cell.
Not. One.

She also moved into her home within the past few months, per MSM.
What prompted the move?

Was there a reason she didn't want a digital/electronic footprint that could be tracked?

Is she employed? If not, how does she support herself financially?

We're missing a big piece of the puzzle here.

JMO.

I'm of the same generation as Sandra. I only begrudgingly have a cell phone, for emergencies only, and never bother to answer it on the rare occasions that it rings. I have a landline for actual phone calls.

And in my knitting group--the same to a bit older women--there are several that have never had a computer and have no desire to have one. Most, but not all, have a cell phone. Two or possibly three have neither.

So I wouldn't equate not having them as not wanting to leave a digital footprint. Not everyone leaps into new stuff and some don't leap at all.

Agreed. I don’t find it odd.

I'm in my 50s; I would lose my job if I had no computer. My work depends on it.

Yeah, a lot of people’s work does, but it’s not weird for her to not have a phone, etc.

In my last job we used computers all day long. There were a couple of people in my small office that refused to have one at home--"I get enough of that at work."

My son is 42 and has a cell phone (calls and text only) and has never had or wanted a computer or any interest in doing anything online.

So back to Sandra--if someone called her to say they were stopping by, there'd be no phone records unless it was long distance. So we're back to if the neighbors saw anything, and it's kind of sounding like none did. :(

I’ve worked in this neighborhood as a residential plumber . The houses are close together and neighbors seem quiet . I just don’t understand how no one saw a car pull up or activity in the night time of Wednesday and Thursday with her lights on .

It doesn't seem, per the video and article, that anything in the house was out of place...such as showing signs of a struggle or anything like that. The video says she was seen when she had stopped by the nearby convenience store earlier Thursday and that Thurs. about 5 pm a family member dropped her off at her home. I wonder if she had been stalked and someone was waiting for her inside her home. Just odd and little to go on given she has no cell phone nor social media accounts.

That was Wednesday the family member dropped her off *

The Hanson Police Department on FB has a new post about Sandra. The HPD says they are working with the Fall River PD concerning the possible sightings of Sandra in Fall River:

A new article about Sandra Crispo with a few new details. It sounds like the Fall River sightings have been ruled out. Two things caught my attention: 1. The daughter said the bed boards were disturbed as if the mattress had been lifted. And 2. The police are monitoring local homeless populations in case Sandra decided to "pop in." To me that had an odd sound to it as I don't know anyone who would "pop in" to hang out with the homeless unless there was a mental problem or a drug problem in play and there has been no indication of that so far.

Hmmm - all the bed boards were off? o_O I wonder if her daughter would be able to tell if the mattress was the same or if it was replaced. MOO

I have seen in other cases when LE hits a brick wall, they ask another agency such as the FBI to review their investigative case file. Maybe that is what needs to happen here.

Also noting from the article:

It wasn’t until the next day that McMahon said she became worried. McMahon said her phone number was left with the mechanic. When she tried to call her mother to tell her what work needed to be done on the car, Crispo didn’t answer.

“Instantly, I felt like something was wrong,” McMahon said.

[...]

“All the lights were on. The air conditioner was on. I walked to the back door, it was unlocked,” McMahon said. “The dog didn’t have any food or water. Nothing really seemed too out of place other than that all the bed boards were off. It appeared someone lifted the mattress.”

[...]

“There’s no signs of a struggle. There’s no signs she may have wanted to harm herself,” Miksch said. “There’s no anything.”

Crispo, who was previously married, did not have any history of being involved in relationships that involved domestic violence, according to police.

With few places left to turn, McMahon said she met on Tuesday with a private investigator. The family has also met with Maureen Hancock, a spirit medium.

"all the bed boards were off. It appeared someone lifted the mattress.”

Anyone else find that statement a bit disturbing? But--why wasn't that mentioned right at the beginning? Not noticed?

Oh, that little detail?

I don't know what bed boards are, but I've attached an image of bed slats, maybe the same thing?

The quote above- "all the bed boards were off" is from Sandra's daughter, Laina McMahon. In the same article, the police chief states-

“There’s no signs of a struggle. There’s no signs she may have wanted to harm herself,” Miksch said. “There’s no anything.”

Well, Laina was the first on the scene, so if the bed boards were disturbed, she would know.

I personally have had bed slats for 10 years, never once were they "disturbed".

It's kind of an important detail.

IIRC, cheaper beds have boards - literally - imagine if all the slats were joined together to make a board. (I have had a waterbed for 25 years but this is what I recall anyway...) But if the boards were gone, the box springs and/or mattresses would have nothing to rest on. IMO this is very significant.

I'm in MA. "Bed boards" can have two meanings here. One is bed slats and then there are also flat, usually tri-folding, boards that serve essentially the same purpose as slats and go under the mattress (could be positioned on top of the actual slats).

Yes, but we have seen cases in the past when even LE has missed things. Kelsey Berreth's case is a perfect example.

First there was so called sightings of her. Now that's been disputed.

Daughter says bed boards are off, yet LE states no sign of a struggle.

Now they're checking into shelters around the area.

Is this some of kind crazy or what?!

Yes, that's how I interpret it - slats. I sort of wonder if she tried to hide under the bed? MOO

So wouldn't the mattress have to be moved out of place to know the "bed boards were disturbed"?

I'll answer this- yes. Why no mention of the mattress? Confusing...

Did she keep money under her mattress?
