New to this blog.. After reading most of comments/concerns on here, one would hope the local or state police obtained search warrants to search the sheds and basements of the two Level 3 sex offenders that live in Sandra's barrio. In fact both within a very short walking distance from her home. They may have already idk.

I'm sure police are aware of any local SOs and have looked into the possibilities, but wouldn't LE need some kind of probable cause to obtain an actual search warrant for their property? Some link other than the fact that they are a sex offender?

Edited to add: I just looked at the list of level 2 and 3 offenders near her address and all but one of them was convicted of crimes against children.

Each time I re-read about her disappearance the more I feel for her family, someone knows where Sandra is and she needs to be home.
I see that another woman is missing from a town about 25 miles from Sandras area and it is so scary but my mind takes me to a place where I'm thinking could it be related to Sandras case. Prayers for Sandra and her family.

Are you talking about Susan Willand
or Kayla Quagan? The former was found deceased, she had recently suffered some personal problems and it looks like self-harm unfortunately. In the case of the latter, the police said this afternoon that they've seen her on video since she went out of contact with her family and believe she is voluntarily missing. So I'm guessing these unfortunate incidents are most likely not related to Sandra.

Kayla Q I saw that update later, glad its not another missing person case, so sad for the SW outcome.

Prayers for Sandra and her loved ones.

I was reading that Sandra was 5 ft 9? In one of the articles. I still can't stop thinking that was a odd way to exit a truck. It almost looks like She was jumping out. I guess I'm just reading into this too much.

Some trucks can be really high up depending on what type of wheels are on them...this photo was taken directly from the surveillance video (where she's shown getting out of the truck in real-time). Did the video also look odd to you?

And if she was getting out with an odd motion, what are you thinking it would it mean for her disappearance?

Where can I find the actual video? I have tried to find it online.

Does anyone know where to find the video?

Foumd the video! I did notice a few things that seemed off. I'm glad to see that she looked better getting out of the truck. But while she was walking back to the truck two things stand out to me, one I don't see her holding her cigarettes. I used to smoke, and o know I would hold them even if I couldn't smoke in the car, and she keeps her head down. She doesn't have a cell phone. Makes me wonder about what kind of feelings she was having at the time?

I won’t be posting in this thread for awhile, maybe not again, but I definitely will be following and watching this case. My prayers are with Sandra and her family and sending good wishes to those of you keeping her in your thoughts. Take care.

I did just see a comment that LM put on FB that says - “In the state of Massachusetts you cannot execute search warrants for missing persons which makes it that much harder.”

This has been bugging me since I read it yesterday. It does not appear that this is true, based on a quick google search. But I can't really confirm or deny for sure. Any MA LEOs or those in the know that can point me to a definitive answer on this? I find it hard to believe it's true, or at least true as stated.

Interesting. I think that Sandra's daughter owns the house? I know at my age if I were to buy any real estate i would not put it in my name because I would not want the state to have it if something happened medically and I needed to be in a nursing home.

Well that's got its own set of potential issues. But I understand the thought process.

Even if her daughter owns it, Sandra is residing there. So beyond the immediate emergency warrantless search, I would assume they'd need a warrant for anything more involved. Even if the daughter gave permission. However, it boggles my mind the idea that MA law prevents this? That doesn't seem right.

I assumed it was more about the truck, that allegedly MA law prevents a search warrant from being obtained for the truck because it's a missing persons case. Or for any other property. It seems to me that if there's no reason to believe she's alive (i.e. no atm withdrawals or credit card purchases they know were made by her since her absence) that at some point they are investigating a potential crime of assault, manslaughter, murder, etc. and even IF the 'no search warrants for missing persons' were accurate, they would be able to obtain under that.

I think it's not accurate, but can't prove or deny still.

I thought I read somewhere that the state police were gathering evidence from the home? I will have to check to see where it was

I did a quick search and back in September the state police were at the house collecting evidence. It was on fox 25 news where I read it

And wasn’t there going to be an update from the state police soon? Or did I dream that?
It seems she vanished without any clues, videos from neighbors - no BOLO for strangers in neighborhood, etc.
A lot of the neighborhoods use the next door app to post ring videos, talk about intruders, etc.

I guess the police asked if any neighbors had any videos from doorbell cameras, I don't think there was any. And I was thinking they said Sandra did not have a cell phone? That doesn't seem possible. She watches her grandkids. I would want to at least have a flip phone with the ability to dial 911. God forbid my grandkids were out with me and something happened and I couldn't get help, or if kids were sick . And I guess the last call was from the house phone and it was Sandra talking to her daughter. The whole case seems odd
