All your posts are informative and interesting. Good to know. And if coroners don't have decent training, I wonder if some of these drownings that were ruled accidental were not.
TY! That is why I posted it, I was thinking the same thing, And I am going to do" it " check to see if some were corn or med exam - to me also --I think a lot were wrong!
Am I saying all of them were any one thing . No. While at the same time with the exception of one (took parents 4 years to get it to homicide) for them all to be drunk accident is just as messed up as me saying all suicide, or homicide, all falls or Smiley Face stuff is just as wrong IMO.
I do think they were a mixture. With too big a "pattern" for many of them not to be serial.
There is a MO here --
white, popular, collage educated, in 20's, not ugly, no obesity, athletic, out with friends, appearing happy in numbing cold.
I found race especiallly curious:
Between 2005 and 2009, the fatal unintentional drowning rate for African Americans was significantly higher than that of whites across all ages.
At some level that is compelling.
In addition, the majority of them were in very cold months. Less people out and about in general.
But, if you think about it Spring break and summer make more sense to be outside, drinking with your buds, cruising woman. Less clothes --check out their "bods"--sounding as old as I am huh!
Everyone has slipped or fallen. Most of the time we would get an abrasion or a bruise. Bump on the head etc etc.
Makes no sense they all of em are being repoprted as having nothing. "Placing" a deceased person in some water , on the other hand.....................
Link posted earlier, one guy was found with with his neck at a 90 degree angle, an impossiblity in an accidental drowning was ruled accidnetal.
Another one, who "supposedly" fell off a bridge, his shirt was still tucked in??
There were two that were like champaign swimmers??
One was in an armed services postion on a cruiser ship - I would think that water "survival" would be a component of training if your living on a ship most of your life.
Woman, in cold places, go to bars and parties, with friends, college age , and drink also .-------------???
So do Africian Americans.
A lot of them were imersed for some time. All reports state high BAL? From folks that know , or should , that death makes alcohol.
Map wise it sure does seem like a major highway is easily visible. 18 Wheeler?
In Zachs case, on a video tape , in the dark, from a distance, would a purposeful step in the hole look different?
With the distance he went, one would come to the conclusion that he had some cognitive capacity. There has been no report of via cameras he appearred sloppily inebritated.
When found, one would think there would be an injury of the head if a slip. In the crack many think. Ones body would fall back if took a step and there was nothing to step on below.
It will be inteersting to see if this is another "no" injuries noted case. 10253
