That's a very interesting thought, the idea that CB's the keeper of secrets here rather than the perpetrator. Not that CB's an innocent party or anything, more that maybe, as you say, the LE believe from what they've found out about him that he's key and crucial to something much bigger and darker.

Do we have any evidence though that CB was a supplier of children? I know it's just your opinion but what is it based on? I don't recall any actual evidence to conclusively suggest that he was. Have I missed something?

I don't think there's any evidence of him supplying children, but its certainly something we are told he spoke about, and I don't think he was lying. My feeling is that GP can link him to MM, maybe just pictures but they can't link him to murder of anyone, all the media pressure to blame CB appears to me to be to extract information from CB, they used his friends to get to him. I just don't think CB is the end game.

Here's the Mirror's version of the latest Daily Mail article, for anyone who's avoiding the DM:

I'd missed the fact that there was photographic/video evidence of the abuse on his girlfriend's daughter - I had thought there was only the girlfriend's testimony.

It has also been revealed that he stored 391 child abuse pictures and 68 sick videos on a second device, a Casio Exilim digital camera.

It was the camera he used to take images of himself abusing an ex’s five-year-old daughter.​

I think this makes it even more likely there's similar evidence for MM.

I think this makes it even more likely there's similar evidence for MM.

IMO it's obvious, that there must be some kind of photographic evidence of most of his victims. Either on footage that was confiscated from CB or found on the internet, so the modus operandi can be linked to him. The key should be the Neuwegersleben footage found in 2016, because the footage found in 2013 in Braunschweig didn't started the investigation at that large scale?!

According to the 2013 chat, he doesn't just seem to collect the footage, but even share it, so he should have been camouflaged maybe. So it is very much harder to prove him as the perpetrator for sure. But if you read between the lines of that chat, it couldn't be just fantasizing about a deed, but telling what has already been done. But that's not more than a possible interpretation at a trial, where hard evidence is needed.

As i assumed earlier, just witness testimonies would't convice L.E. by 99 %, that he did it. So we'll see....

After British detectives sat in on interviews in Faro with witnesses last week, the Sunday Express can reveal Policia Judiciaria co-ordinator Ana Paula Rito is taking a broader look at leads which may not have been fully pursued.

She is now keen to learn more about the Brazilian couple, who are said to have expressed a strong desire to have a child when they were in the Algarve in May 2007 when Madeleine vanished.

A few days after Madeleine vanished from flat 5a of the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz, a British man came forward with his concerns about the couple and was interviewed by Portuguese detectives.

On the night of the abduction the man was closing his video rental shop just a few streets away from the apartment.

At 10.45pm, 45 minutes after Kate McCann had discovered that her daughter was missing, he noticed the Brazilian woman, aged about 25, driving past his shop in a red car.

He told police there was a dog in the front seat and the woman driver kept looking at something on the back seat which he could not see.

Her partner, a bald Brazilian man in his early 40s, had worked on a local farm but was fired after some machinery was damaged and later worked at Lagos marina, about four miles from Luz doing boat repair work.

The couple, who were staying on a yacht at the marina left shortly after the disappearance and have not been seen again.

A dark-haired woman seen hanging around the apartment at 8pm on the night Madeleine vanished has never been identified or traced.

On Friday expatriate British businessman Robert Murat was re-interviewed for several hours, the last of 10 witnesses to be seen.

Well compared to other theories this one is a better one, and it’s only because of what we’ve heard about CB that the misuse of tools worries me. I’m sure this theory would be the preferred choice of many

Looking in the Portuguese scans, the R stands for Ricardo. Probably not NF's bf.
But it was mentioned before in this thread that CB's jag was seen regularly at the Lagos marina.

Hard to say how accurate George Brooks could’ve been at 6:00am. To me, the descriptions he gave could be a match for the Brazilian couple except the hair of the male ... shoulder-length vs bald.
