HB is a human trafficker, it would not surprise me if he was involved in part of a plan to take MM? If they were really offended by CB I think they would have gone to the police earlier. They seem to be making money from crime and I think at some point the need for money surpasses their moral compass. Seems weird on paper, Pixie, but remember that these unfortunate people usually have all their rights stripped by the traffickers on transit. They’re sold the dream of a “new life” and pay a pretty penny for it... But passports and documents are usually taken from them and they’re more often than not sold into the slave/sex trades. If you’re of the mindset that these people are “dirt”, then you wouldn’t care what becomes of them. They’re kept “underground”, have zero rights, zero traceability and usually no way of getting out of it because they’re undocumented.

ETA - I could actually see a racist/xenophobe getting a kick out of what becomes of these poor souls. Their problem is usually with “foreigners coming here and stealing our jobs/claiming benefits”. An undocumented slave can do neither of those things, they’re at the mercy of whoever “owns” them.

Yes, discussed a lot, but not dismissed so far. First of all because no one knows newspaper's source, and less so who they're talking about.

Silva is the most common surname in Portugal, where 1 out of 10 people have Silva as a surname. So, working out such a surname will be a never ending story whatever way you follow.

There needs to be a serious feckin overhaul in the law when it comes to convictions for child abuse, that’s a fcukin joke.

IIRC we discussed in a previous thread a MSM source indicating that CB had children helping/working in his kiosk. Wait, I found a reference below.

And the thing is that if parents see all the kids hanging out there, and they see he's in a relationship (and maybe even assume he's the father of his girlfriend's daughter), it's easy to get lulled into thinking the kids are safe there. Utter speculation but he also had the dogs, another magnet - alongside sweets/candy - for kids.
