EXCLUSIVE: German prosecutors reveal new evidence in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann
"We have
strong evidence that Madeleine McCann is dead and that our suspect killed her," Wolters told 60 Minutes.
"We don't have the body and no parts of the body, but we have
enough evidence to say our suspect killed Madeleine McCann."
Cryptically, prosecutor Wolters would
neither confirm or deny if any of these videos contained evidence of Madeleine McCann.
"
At the moment, I'm not allowed to comment on that. So I'm not able to say if there are pictures or if there are no pictures of Madeleine," he said.

Madeleine McCann: German prosecutor has 'evidence' British girl is dead
"
We got things we cannot communicate that speak for the theory that Madeleine is dead, even if I have to admit that we don't have the body."
"At the moment we also don't have enough proof for a trial at court, but we have some evidence that the suspect has done the deed.
"That's why we need more information from people,
especially places he has lived so we can target these places especially and search there for Madeleine."
"Basically, we need every information in that time period, where did he live, where did he work, to which places he had a special relationship, who were his friends and the people he knew.
"Who can tell us what the suspect's life was like, where has he been with his cars,
who has been in his houses and can tell us what they look like from the inside. And we hope that maybe we find victims that maybe also got in these houses, victims of sexual crimes."
"People with a criminal background don't deal readily with the authorities, but I appeal to such friends of the suspect to tell anything they know.
"If they don't want to speak directly to police, then they can email the information anonymously, if that's the way to understanding what happened."

The 30-minute phone call police hope will finally solve Madeleine McCann mystery
Mr Wolters said: "At the moment if we interview the suspect he could say, ‘My girlfriend had my phone that night and I didn’t have it’.
"The person he spoke to could put the phone in his hand [by confirming that it was definitely Brückner to whom he spoke], which would mean he was in the area at the time.
"
This is the evidence we want before we issue an arrest warrant and then interview him for the murder. It would help the case against him — but we would also need more evidence."

There is also reason to assume that there are other people besides the perpetrator who have
specific knowledge of the possible course of events and, if applicable, the location of the corpse. We expressly ask these people to get in touch and share their knowledge.
