CB contacted someone ("683") in Portugal via Deep Web, who offers him paid for a toddler.
"683" shuold be a person with much money.
CB told his british girfriend.
They both met in Tomar for partial payment advance. Obviously no bank account.
"683" called CB ("How is the job going ?").
CB abducted MM.
With money CB found a 17yo German girlfriend.

Please, let me know the problems with this scenario.

Maybe because the case was soon in the mainstream media and the third person said: "forget it! you have the partial payment but I do not know you!"

There are, of course, at least two alternative scenarios, which I called:

"CB did not do it" and "CB burglary that went better"

Right at the start of the appeal, HCW said they were trying to find out places CB was staying around the time in order to search them for MM's body. We know of several places, including the house in Foral, that CB was staying around this time but no efforts appear to have been made to search them. It makes me wonder if they have something more specific in mind and that these places don't fit the bill. Perhaps if they do have a photo, they are trying to identify where it was taken from what can be seen in the background?

Since the video of CB's VW camper at the 2007 Dragon Festival (main dates 16-19 March) surfaced I've been torturing myself by going through footage of the festival again trying to spot him as the VW alone doesn't prove that he was there, MT admits being there. Once again I go full circle and end up at this. It's bugged me for a long long time so can we find more footage of these fair haired children with I think the red head, the dark haired male and what looks like a male in a mask 3:25 to 3:30

I have an idea who the redhead might be but it needs confirming.

I think more telling in this scenario is the purchase of the Tiffin. After prison, he was living in a borrowed van. Sometime between MM disappearing and him netting up with MT in Spain (I think this is a certain timeline event) he had the funds to buy this vehicle.

The box factory was possibly bought with his share of the 100k euros burglary in Nov 2007 so that is less of a mystery.

The Tiffin wasn’t part of the appeal so we can be fairly sure he didn’t have it around May 2007. I wonder if it’s part of HCW’s circumstantial evidence? Although, it doesn’t fit with his statements about only one suspect etc.

What hard evidence is there against CB though?

Quite a big of the evidence is actually just reports from media of quite variable quality.

I find it quite difficult to evaluate myself.

We are not in a position to evaluate what the evidence is regarding CB for the simple reason we have seen nothing of it and what we think we may know is mainly speculation.
