IMO that is quite possible. They had very specific information relating to that spot.

The volume of forensic evidence will be much lower now, imo it’s a needle in a haystack after 18 years. Good on the BKA & PJ for putting the time & effort into these searches - that’s a good thing.

Could well be. Hard to say though since we're not aware of what the new intel is that generated and got the (financial) thumbs up for this new search.

But fingers crossed something useful will come of it. It would make up for all the failed promises of the last five years and bring the case back to life.

JC actually said material that "could "have been pyjamas, means it could also have been anything else.

yes and no...for instance corduroy fabric or denim would not be used as pajamas, where as a pink floral flannel or light polyester fabric in a similar color light pink or whatever could be a female child's pajamas, yeah? mOO

As was said they can probably establish what type of material it is, what the fabric is made up of & perhaps they could also detect the dye that was on the fabric.

For example pink on pyjama type fabric. If that’s so then they’ll probably release it when they communicate their investigative findings

JC claims one thing but another refuted it.

Around two years ago, a dam about 45 minutes from here was searched, but nothing was found.

I wouldn’t classify such a find as nonsense.

CB collecting children’s bathing suits shows his fixation with that age of female child. imo highly extremely unlikely he’d have kept clothing when disposing of a body quickly, far more likely that if he is going to take a trophy he’d have done it in a way that he has form for - pictures.

I do not think a cotton fabric would survive 18 years of exposition to the environment. Whatever they are looking for I doubt it is pyjamas.

Dependant whether they were mixed with synthetics or polyester as some cotton clothing products are. In which case 20+ years to biodegrade. If they’re searching for it then their scientific advisers must deem it possible

Correct. But if the likelihood of finding fibres was zero they wouldn’t be trying to find fibres.
