The animal bones mentioned in that article , about the recent searches , perhaps irrelevant .. but who knows .. perhaps not .

We all know CB buried his usb drives etc under a dead dog , at German box factory .

So he has form for that method of concealment / distraction .
Perhaps an attempt to try and disguise / divert attention away from something else of interest .
Certainly worth the investigators looking into what else was next to , or mixed in with , those animal bones .. imo

Also, NF was a member of a local ‘Save Our Pets’ organisation.
Like you I have doubts that the animal bones have anything to do with the investigation, but yeah, another red flag where CB is concerned.

It comes as authorities in Germany and Portugal continue to try to build up a case against suspect Christian Brueckner ahead of his scheduled release from prison in September

This report indicates nothing has been sent to Germany from recent searches , which contradicts info from some other reports .. situation normal I guess .

“German forensic officers have been offered the opportunity of being present at the tests, although it was unclear today if they had accepted the invite.

Contrary to circulating reports, no samples have been sent back to Germany, insiders stated.”

Well , at least the investigators will know the correct version ..

The gun is unlikely to have been used as a “lethal weapon” although tests are understood to be ongoing, reports Portuguese daily Correio da Manha.
A second gun was also found during the renewed hunt for clues.
German cops have ruled it out as having any link to Maddie due to it being 50 years old and described by Portuguese sources as a “rusting relic.”

I don’t know what these findings have to do with MM.

They found a gun… so what. Ah but it was in “Breuckner’s rat run” so it must mean something. Like the CSA material found in his “lair.” Or the soil samples taken for his “ little paradise.”

I think they are digging holes with the same accuracy as a blind monkey throwing darts at a dartboard. Her disappearance was 18 years ago and even if the gun is engraved Christian Breuckner it doesn’t mean anything for the MM investigation.

Only finding MM has an impact on the investigation.

That is what was reported in The Mirror up-thread - the bones were taken to Lisbon for analysis.

Circling back to the Jag and the 60 minutes show. It says “same model” and watching it again the car looks grey. Is it even the same car he had in Portugal?

Not clear whether that was the rusty relic, but neither sound very dangerous.
As no gunshots were reported as CB fled from 5A, I assume it will be a red herring to titilate the public.

Also from the article bolded bolded below.The options are being limited at every search imo.

Why are the brit press so desperate ? Why would a gun be a game changer in the MM case? Can't recall any mention of shots being fired or spent cartridges or bullets retrieved from the alleged crime scene of 5a. so no forensic link to MM.

The headline doesn't carry the caveat "yet" unlike the paragraph in the article.

So why did JC of the olive say the guns, bones and various items of clothing had been sent to Germany when reports now clearly say it's not the case.

Can they though if they're not linked to any crime, first of all ownership would have to be determined not in as in a license but his DNA on them, then what ? he handled them ?
