CB had a fender bender near Neuwegersleben, where he lived at the time, ninety kilometres from Diakoniewerk Wilhelmshof where Inga vanished. That proves only he was where he lived at the time, the rest is the work of tabloids.

Indeed, the tabloids are in the business of selling a story; police investigators are in the business of collecting evidence.
The police investigation found no evidence supporting CB'S involving in Inga's disappearance. It was right and proper that they carried out their function.
Just as it is right and proper that tabloids keep information about such events in the public domain. There is a pattern to which if any, are to be relied on. Much the same as can be said of all social media.

I don't deny he is a horrid person. I'm just trying to clear a misinformation created by the tabloids which tried to stitch him to many different cases, manipulating innocuous things (CB being in the area where he lived the day before Inga was missing) into something suspicious.

Do I think this man is disgusting and dangerous? Sure. Do I think he should be in prison? Of course. That, though, does not make spreading lies and misinfo right.

Lots of coincidence though, near mm when she went missing and also ig, when she went missing, one coincidence fair enough, but 2 is a little bit strange imo

Well the rest that they found there paints a horrid picture of CB - nothing to do with the tabloids

What really makes my blood run cold is the introduction of firearms which may be associated with CB, into the equation.

I am not sure how much has changed since 2020 but this statement says their evidence indicates (perhaps strongly) that CB is the culprit but it’s not definite.

You asked about the quote for the public- indeed it was said in 2020. Since then the BKA have said they are certain.

It seems those in the media and elsewhere that are committed to the BKA's narrative will continue to view everything CB through the fixed, immovable lens of him being guilty of MM's abduction and murder, regardless of and despite the veracity and viability of the 'links' the media continues to push. It reeks of a mix of sensationalism, desperation to keep the narrative going and £££ clickbait.

I don't doubt that the BKA believes that what it has in relation to MM points to CB but I can't be doing with reporting that's so lacking in balance and objectivity.

I really question the media commitment and wonder what exactly it is that's driving it in the absence of facts.

Immediately another attempt at reconstruction was made using the dog Zarus, who, in general terms, ended up following the same route as Rex and having the same behaviour.

It is important to state that this tracking work was carried out in an urban area and more than 24 hours after the girl's disappearance and numerous persons had passed along the path the dogs were tracking. It should also be stated that the path the dogs followed within the resort was practically totally surrounded by walls and the concentration of odours was stronger as they were protected from the wind. The searches finished at about 01.30

The Portuguese police files give pinpoint details of the route which police sniffer dogs followed as they tracked Madeleine's scent. Two trained dogs were taken to the family's holiday apartment and followed a trail.

So saying it was done after 24 hours after disappearing, and in urban areas and lots of people have passed
so what would that say about the other dogs that was weeks and weeks after disappearing

Different type of dog searching for different sort of scent.
The first dogs were tracking dogs, hence being given MM's scent to track

I meant, more about the time frame and other people, not the type of dogs, sorry if I wasn't clear enough with what I said

Thinking aloud about my own question from earlier post here .
The Sun report of saying scent lost at church car park is either a mistake / mis-info ( quite possible ) ..
.. or could it be new info they were told by an informed source ?

Some info in their recent doc ( eg. car / CB images etc ) appears to have been fed to them by Prosecutors / BKA … so info about dog scent location possibly also ?
Or from another source ?
If Smithman sighting was indeed MM , then a scent from church car park seems plausible , as fairly close-by .. imo
Perhaps MM then moved on from that vicinity by a car / van that was in church car park , or near there ?

What is at the far end of that path ? Is it a dead end or does it lead somewhere ?

The route they took takes them through the apartment buildings down to a walkway that runs the full length of the resort. It’s open at the 5A end but blocked off at the other side - where the school is. MM was on this route all week. That they tracked her scent is unsurprising.
