The Australian Maritime Authority is coordinating the search in the southern corridor. It has received satellite imagery possibly related to the MH370, further images are expected after aircraft have taken hi-res images. The Orion aircraft is now on scene with more aircraft to follow.

Malaysian military checking on information.....Malaysia has to verify it too....
per CNN

oh yeah... I trust their opinion. I want them to pay for 3 days of useless searching in the wrong water due to their lying!

Breaking: Malaysian Minister: satellite images provide "credible" evidence #MH370 possibly down in Indian Ocean. http://on.wsj.com/1gITPcw

Basically they're sending in as many ships and aircraft as they can, and moderate conditions there, poor visibility however. They hold 'great concerns' for passengers and crew. Re-emphasises the objects may not be related. Indistinct on imagery. They are 'credible' sightings and a reasonable size and possibly 'awash' with water bobbing up and down on the sides. (?)

Largest image seen is around 24m.

The largest is supposed to be 24 meters and then several smaller ones.

It seems like an awful lot of planes to send.

They expressed concern for survivors. Experts state that they are credible sightings. Largest piece is about 24m.

I am not satisfied with that guy's answer on CNN about how the plane could have ended up there?

He said auto-pilot b/c of mechanical failure/fire.

But why was auto-pilot turned west, and then apparently south??

Woudl the currents have taken the debris all the way down there, or was the plane itself there?

The auto pilot was drinking?

One piece is nearly 24 meters in length? wow. Is that possible?

I am trying to see any positive here... humor me please; glass half full

There is nothing positive here at all. it is Sad, sad, sad and scary too.
Maybe we will learn how to deal with security better, and profile pilots better.
But me think it is no more a surprise to the powers that be then 9/11 was or that Boston was.
Me think someone's somewhere knows plenty.

Experts believe they are credible sightings. The objects are reasonably large eg 24 metres and were awash. Visibility in the area is poor.

They're a cable news network. They're really good too. Very in depth with stuff instead of just headlines and few comments.

Yeah, and no filter/moderating on the comments. :floorlaugh:

Reporters questions, what will ships do, what have they seen, if an object is findable, a GPS will be given and a ship will be deployed to 'see it' and then progressively advance ID from there, assume at some point they'll be ID'd as 777 in water before recovery.

Prime Minister of Australia has called media conference in relation to the matter at 3.30pm around ten minutes from now.

my goodness they are certainly send a lot of planes and ships there for just a look!!! the experts think they are credible sightings....there is a plane there now....has been there for 2 hours.

the largest size is about 24 metres.....the plane that is there has NOT had a sighting of the object yet....
