More from Australia: Ships, planes swarm to site. Largest object is 24 meters. Authorities not certain it's #MH370

I know they're not going to say "HERE IT IS" until they can get actual confirmation, but honestly, what else could it be?

This is the real deal. They have found the plane. This was a very detailed
press conference. No more BS by Malaysia.

Statement just released by Malaysian Defence Minister

Press statement by Minister of Defence and acting Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein
“At 10:00 this morning, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak received a call from Prime Minister Tony Abbott of Australia, informing him that ‘two possible objects related to the search’ for MH370 had been identified in the Southern Indian Ocean. The Australian High Commissioner has also briefed me on the situation.
“At this stage, Australian officials have yet to establish whether these objects are indeed related to the search for MH370.”

Apparently this was Australian satellite imagery.

And he said they sent the commercial satellite service there to get some more high res images

Just a thought but this will absolutely bankrupt this airline.
No one will ever step on a plane by them again.

OMG that sounds like the plane just hit the water....as in run out of fuel?? :scared:

If it hit the water wouldn't it be smashed to bits?

As for what else it could be - they suggested cargo that fell off a ship - I just thought it was weird they're already giving alternative explanations. I don't think it's sinister, but I don't get it.

Seems like you have called it Derryn. It does make sense now to me in hindsight that they wouldn't send an Australian aircraft 3000 Kms late in the afternoon, to do only a couple of hours of general searching before they had to head back unless they were checking something specific. Either that or my accidental tag in the Indian Ocean that I didn't know how to delete on Tomnod did the trick!

Let's hope its wreckage from the plane.

What does "awash" mean, as in the objects were awash?

I know this was answered by others but wanted to give my take.

IMO
A piece basically floating but waves and water going over the top at times. Kind of like if you threw a wooden oar from a canoe in the water.

Yeah, I think so too. Sending lots of assets over and PM does a little victory speech in parliament.

P.S. Love the puppy! :loveyou:

Funny that you mentioned Bin Laden, that really got swept under the carpet.
Somehow nobody cared to investigate it further.
The whole story was unbelievable.
Not one substantial picture of him dead.
And they threw him in the sea to respect his religion.
How ridiculous is that.

I mention it because media keeps on treating us like we are all dumb.
Well.... some are, and some are not.
It took them how long to notice that this plane was off radar?????

NOP the entire story is fiction.
the real story is what we do not know - Just like Bin Laden.

Minga, y'all are hot, we get it , with a sexy accent... find a map- metric and I do not get along :floorlaugh:

Oops- I forgot you already knew my metric system fail- you posted it while I was typing! Thank you !

Hey they mentioned ditching --- the debris field is usually a lot smaller if the plane impacts in that manner as oppossed to a dive or high speed stall
