Cause of what is the question. How can we discuss the cause of what happened when we don't know what actually did happen. We don't know for absolute certain that the plane went down. I'm beginning to wonder if one of the surrounding countries knew the plane was no longer being tracked by Malasian radar and simply decided to help themselves to a free plane.

Okay, I admit, that's really farfetched.

Correct. Some of us are speculating MH370 malfunction.

The reason why I believe it because chances of it being by a missile are way out there! :seeya:

Hey

I do not think it is far fetched at this point. They cost 250 million a piece - now that is some shoplifting.

Hoping to wake up to news that the plane has been found.

aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

but then again they haven't all out said....it's not the jet!, just no proof...

I don't know if I have it wrong but looking at one of those maps, where the chinese have the debris and where the radar had it last and where the separate sightings (apart from the oil rig guy) ie villagers, businessman, bus driver are all sought of in the same area.

That is if you take into account it may have drifted. I haven't really checked out the current movement, but does anyone know if from where the plane was last heard of, would the debris be taken to where the chinese saw it on Sunday????

I just think it is too much coincidence that they are all in that same region of the north coast of Malaysia....

Not to disagree with you, but we need to keep in mind that the location where the plane was last tracked (or not) was released before any witnesses came forward. It's easy for a person to make up a story to fit the known facts. That could even be the case with the oil rig witness.

David Gallo of Woods Hole Institute, who led the Air France 447 recovery, was on Anderson Cooper, CNN, tonight. He said he seriously doubts the debris seen in the satellite images is part of the 777.

I have heard several people suggest a scenario like this.
With terrorism during a commercial flight you have to get through the security.
If you stole a plane you wouldn't have to deal with the airport people.

I wondered about them somehow hijacking/landing/stealing the plane to use at a later date.
On an abandoned runway out there. Of course that doesn't answer what happened to the people...

There have been some wacky motives for taking down planes.
($37,000 in life insurance money on one passenger for, pilot suicide, etc)
So I definitely think an open mind is important. :seeya:

I think if these agencies would just lock themselves in a room and talk to each other and put the priorities of these poor families first, we wouldn't be sitting where we are this many days later.

I get your point! As far-fetched as it seems, I hope that's what happened at this point. There would still be a chance of people still being alive.

I disagree. :peace:

I think sometimes it takes time for witnesses in a remote location to get their statements across. I 99.9% buy the oil rigger guy's story.

I wondered if they gassed everyone on the plane, broke into cockpit and flew it soewhere. When the military radar thing broke that was when this occurred to me.

They do that for every aviation disaster!

I did not know that! Thanks! :seeya:

But, apparently now the Malaysians have Shamans... :scared:

I'm going with probability, and it's not a coincidence.

But, what was the hold-up? Probably miscommunication would be the same probability. I don't parties were sharing information as quickly as they should have. :moo:

The holdup could have been due to the miscommunication that's been going on. China's (apparently) had these images since Sunday. They probably wanted to make sure everything lined up with a correct timeline before they made the decision to release the images.
