and could all three children wide awake gone out but only two returned? JMO MOO
That was actually my "theory" when she was reported missing. I don't remember how old the siblings were at the time, but I think they were all old enough to feel like going on a adventure. I do have a really hard time believing she got out without the other kids noticing.

The Malaysian postmortem was completed in November, but the report was not released to the Quoirins until May. A second postmortem was carried out in Britain, but this shed no new light.
They were really only able to agree with the conclusion of the Malaysian report on the cause of death, which was upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to a duodenal ulcer complicated with perforation,” Meabh said.

Nóra’s body was not sunburned, and there were no mosquito bites. “There were only a few abrasions visible on her feet,” Sebastien said. “This doesn’t fit the argument that she was out in the jungle by herself for seven days.

The Quoirins say they believe someone gave Nóra water. “We don’t believe that she would have drunk from a stream; we don’t believe Nóra would have easily made it to a stream,” Meabh said.
According to the Malaysian postmortem report, no organisms from the water in the specific stream where Nóra was found were present in her body.

I read the sample too! Just being a bit tight as its 9 quid I think

I read the sample too. It was a bit of a slog. The author spent a lot of time on time zones, light and shadow in a photo of Nora in front of a waterfall in Ireland, wondering if she slept downstairs in a room of her own, family dynamics...just lots of “suppose this and that.” I don’t know how he rushed this to Kindle publication by Sept 2 last year, just a few weeks after Nora was found. There is one good review and one bad on Amazon. I think I’ll pass even though I’m curious about whether he ever reaches a conclusion. Looking at his Twitter, I think he doubts the pedophile or other abductor theory.

No abrasions, no mosquito bites. I agree with her father that she was not out in the jungle for seven days. He also mentions his feeling that she was brought to the place she was found, which I also agree with. Her mother said she would not have struggled if abducted, explaining no sign of struggle on Nora. They still maintain she would not have gotten far on her own on a moonless night without tripping and falling. The idea of an abduction is a lot for me to swallow though.

I wonder why they said she couldn't walk by herself? It doesn't make sense.
I think they've said she lacked coordination. So she could walk fine but may have been clumsy.

What? That doesn’t jive with her parents describing her mobility issues plus the fact she didn’t go anywhere by herself. That she stuck by her mothers side and didn’t venture out alone. But with her mother’s extensive travel due to her job - wouldn’t there have been someone at home (besides her father) that helped with Nora day to day?
I don’t know if her parents are going to get the definitive answers they are seeking.
They probably had a nanny, it seems like the parents had plenty of money. I admit I am curious about the family. I haven't seen anything about what the parents do for work.

Yes, it just doesn't seem possible that she didn't have many scratches and abrasions. That happens with hiking even when you are perfectly able-bodied.

There was definitely someone else involved IMO. It's the only thing that makes sense. But this really is one of the most puzzling cases I've ever read about. So many questions, still.

Is it odd that the dogs picked up no scent of her in the villa?

Nora Quoirin's bedroom window was broken & dog failed to pick up teen’s scent

Nora Quoirin's bedroom window was broken & dog failed to pick up teen’s scent

I didn’t get the sense from this article that the dog was brought into the villa, but rather that it didn’t detect a scent at the window where they think she exited. Assuming the material the dog was sniffing actually had her scent on it and the dog was accurate, that would tell me that she was carried through the window. However, this article is confusing and it still doesn’t make clear whether Nora slept upstairs or downstairs, so any interpretation is certainly possible.

If she couldn’t walk far without tripping or falling how did she make it from her bed upstairs, down that curved narrow looking staircase, open a window and climb out?

I’m not sure if we are absolutely sure that she and the other kids slept upstairs. But this whole thing doesn’t have very good explanations for all the details no matter how you look at it.

So we do not even have the basic facts of that evening, no confirmed sleeping arrangements, no sibling interviews plus conflicting descriptions of Nora’s mobility/ability to walk unaided.

Which leads me to wonder why we are lacking such basic facts.

IIRC, there were multiple reports that she slept upstairs with her brother and sister.

Nora was staying in an upstairs room next to her siblings and was last seen when she went to bed on Saturday night, just hours after the jet-lagged family checked in following their arrival in Malaysia.

I think the are just breakdowns in communication at every level here. I think the other kids aren't telling their parents everything, or at least didn't initially. I think the parents aren't giving investigators an accurate representation of Nora's disability. I think the indigenous people and their shaman are not giving the local investigators the whole story. I think the local investigators aren't giving the international investigators all their information.

I think Nora should have had a tracking device. I don't know if they'd work in a fairly remote part of Malaysia though.
