The jury is still in the jury room I believe because the defense is trying to admit evidence into the record while Van Waus is on the stand so they are not needed.

Van Waus is looking at reports from a DNA lab.

Law enforcement can only send five items at a time to be tested for DNA to FDLE.

It can take a "long time" to get results back, Van Waus said.

The DNA Labs international company is not a free service, like FDLE, so there is no limit to the number of submissions that can be sent to this company, Van Waus said.

I think calling him back is going to backfire on the defense.

I disagree. I think Dr. P is way wrapped up into the Sievers’ business and personal lives and with all the wife swapping going on, I don’t find him credible at all. He said on the stand that he wasn’t very close to Mark, but he was close enough to share his wife and the keys to his home.
He looked like a credible witness on the stand because the jury doesn’t know the background. I thought he came across dishonest. I don’t think it’s good for the state for him to be called again. But I guess it depends whether the defense will bring up those topics or not.

Wow ... after reading both of your posts, these are both good points ... very interesting!

I did see some of Dr. P's testimony on the rerun on Court TV and IMO, he came across as honest.

But ... ya never know !

I should further explain state never called it a life insurance policy. In openings they simply said that the insurance agreements were partially shredded, but did not say what kind of insurance. #trialtweets #MarkSieversontrial #TeresaSievers #NBC2CourtCoverage

Prosecutors have alleged Teresa Sievers was killed for life insurance policies and have discussed the shredded insurance policy document.

Now, the defense shows the document was for disability insurance and not life insurance.
