Concern for Missing Gaithersburg Woman

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Gaithersburg woman.

Beatriz Soriano Luna, age 23, of McCullough Lane, was last seen at approximately noon today (Monday, June 3) when she left an appointment on Broschart Road in Gaithersburg driving her 2004 blue and gray Honda Element with Maryland tag: 2BY7891. Luna is known to frequent the Westfield Montgomery mall in Bethesda.

Luna is described as a Hispanic female who is 5’ 6” tall and weighs 160 pounds. She has brown eyes, black hair, and wears glasses. Luna was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Police and family are concerned for Luna’s physical and emotional welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Beatriz Soriano Luna or her vehicle is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (available 24 hours). Callers may remain anonymous.

Wow...last seen at 12 noon after an appointment, and by 4:45 family has already filed a report and cite a concern for her physical and emotional welfare?

Did something happen at that appointment I wonder? Something she said or did prior to leaving that caused someone there to be concerned? Was it a medical appointment? Did she receive bad health news? A psychologist or psychiatrist or counselor of somesort?

Had she said something concerning to family before she left?

There has to be a reason they were quick to report this. It's not odd (I don't think) for someone who has an appt somewhere to decide to run other errands or eat at a restaurant for lunch or go shopping or do other activities for a few hours, even if they weren't planned beforehand simply because they were already out and about for that appt, but *something* has caused family to become concerned.

Hope this woman is ok!
