The firm said in a press statement on Tuesday that its law team has "reason to believe that individuals within the Hispanic community may have valuable information that could aid in identifying the suspect."

He is managing to travel long distances without being detected. That’s not very easy to do. Either he has some sort of connections (family/gang) to these locations or he’s just winging it and driving cross country to random states. My feeling is that it’s #1. It’s not easy to stay under the radar. They, (LE), must have traffic cam footage of all cars arriving/leaving those areas. I don’t believe this guy is traveling cross country on foot. Has LE said anything about how he’s getting around ?
He could’ve easily left the country several times, but didn’t. 1) California he’s about a 3 hour drive from the border to Mexico but he travels to
2) Baltimore.where he could’ve gone down the coast to Miami, then Cuba, South America, or Mexico. But he travels to 3) Chicago….So Is he part of a larger group with “business dealings” in these specific locations? Or is he a lone wolf? I have no idea….but I’m guessing LE does. If he was in the country on a 90 day visa he could already be gone. DHS/LE will have to extradite him if they want to bring him back. Hopefully he’s not from Chile.

The LAPD should release a sketch based on the DNA. I wonder what it would reveal?

He either has friends and family in Baltimore, MD. Or recently employed in the region but traveled to Baltimore to commit his crime.
He is a drifter, hitchhikes, jumps trains, and steals cars to travel undetected.
La to Baltimore is an interesting destination. Perhaps he was visiting LA and then returned home to Baltimore.
If she cannot his DNA can be used to produce a sketch.

I would settle for a clear photograph from the door cam. They keep replaying the video. They could create a still shot of his face, granted it is a side view, but use the best FBI imagery tools they have to clean it up and publicize it.
It did not help with Libby and Abby, but I’m guessing imaging technology has improved since 2017.
I'd like to see a cleaned-up still of that video too.
I hope they use all the tools they have to catch this creep ASAP.

They did not base a sketch on just DNA, they identified relatives of the unknown suspect via his DNA, then looked for male relatives.

That would be really hard to do!
My DNA shows that I have blue eyes, white complexion, possibly wavy light brown hair. All that is true, but really can't do a sketch on it.
If he's Latino the DNA will show the percentage of Native-American. However, 50% Native-American (which is one of the the most common) is not a good phenotype predictor. If he's 85% or more, than it's likely, he will have more NA features.
Other than that, we see the dark hair, decreased body hair. His complexion is tan with warm undertones. It likely has seasonal variations and tans easily. We can assume his eyes are brown. The camera shows all of this anyway.
Getting things like brows, eye size, eye lashes, nose, check bones, and lip shapes from DNA has gotta be tons of work and may be pseudoscience. Also DNA will not show things like scars or fractures etc.
Damn, It would be way too vague without finding possible relatives first. I hope they find a hit or two from the DNA.
