I don't see how she could accomplish hanging herself without her glasses.....
Think about all that would be involved in that if you can't see.

I still say I'm curious as to how she accomplished this action. She would have to stand on something, have a rope (from the garage where the boyfriend was hanging out?), and do all this while practically blind.

I hope the information about her manner of death was removed because it is premature to announce; the investigation should begin now.

She left the house barefoot, with essentially nothing but the clothes she was wearing. How in the world does one hang themselves, with nothing? How does a practically blind person climb a tree and do that, with nothing? :(

I think if LE is saying it "appears" to be a suicide, they are trying to deflect attention away from what they are really thinking....that someone murdered Lisa and is making it appear to be a suicide.

IMO so wouldn't something in the trees be a lot easier to find than on the ground. 150 Ft from the house - the place the search is started from. hard to imagine people missing her at all. that should be embarrassing for police unless she was just put there recently.

so if she crossed the road and went directly to that spot with the intention of killing herself knowing it had rope, etch even though she was blind without her glasses.

all this over an argument over cigarettes with her bf. just hard to get it - just saying

How does a practically blind person find a proper branch to hang herself? I don't believe it was suicide.

So she must have found a rope, climbed the tree and hanged herself. While she had no shoes, glasses and in the dark foresty area? Really?!

I don't think so either.

(And apparently neither do most who know her)

They said they're doing an autopsy today, but I sure hope they're looking at it with an open mind and not assuming suicide only given the (supposed) method.

Feels like deja vu with the journalist in Turkey who was just found in the airport the other day, immediately ruled a suicide by hanging, yet everything seems to be indicating that was not the case nor something she would ever do.

Impossible from here to know what happened but I dont remember any case of murder that was disguised as suicide - seems like it would be pretty hard to do. The murderer would need to be pretty strong and I would think a basic autopsy would reveal the true cause of death. The victim would either be putting up a fight or if already deceased would be dead weight and hard to move. I think back to LE's initial comment where I believe they said they were concerned about her "temperament" and I wonder if she has had any history of unstable emotions that could have jeopardized her safety.

Wonder where LE learned about her "temperament" and unstable emotions. Her BF? I suppose I felt immediately suspicious of him so its hard for me to look at this objectively. Sometimes I get that bad vibe and can't get away from it.

And murders that have been posed to look like suicide? Just Google that. Pretty amazing.

If not a suicide there should be evidence of another person's presence at the 'crime scene.' Even in mud (it was a rainy night) big footprints look different from smaller ones (and imprints of a heavier person versus lighter.) Scrapings under the fingernails or bruising on the body could indicate a struggle. If climbing into a tree to hang one self evidence should exist on the bottom of the feet or to the leggings.

I'm thinking LE will not take this investigation lightly.

I thought the other girl called police to say her and her 5 year old son are fine??

Yep...you are right. I think this article was from earlier today before LE heard from Sarah Meade.

I think when people envision someone hanging from a tree due to suicide, they immediately picture the person hanging from high up in the tree.....and as such, how could someone kill someone then hoist them up a tree and secure them to a branch to give the appearance of suicide? .....but I do believe the victim was rather short, only 5'3"............and technically one doesn't have to be up that far in a tree to hang themselves, just has to be a distance high enough up so that their feet can't possibly touch the ground. Her BF looks pretty tall in comparison to her. Just speaking in general but I don't see how it would take all that much work/effort to kill someone, wrap a rope/noose around their neck then hoist them up using the rope over a strong tree branch - just enough so that their feet can't touch the ground.
