It was hard for me to read too. Some I was able to make out, some I was not. In some places what is illegible in some area's is repeated in others....

Heard back from the detective. He's going to check it out. He says hydroxyzine is used to treat nervousness or itching, and might be able to track down a prescription at some of the free clinics in the area.

Half life 20 to 25 hours Excretion Urine, Feces Therapeutic considerations Pregnancy cat. A(AU) C(US)
Legal status ℞ Prescription only
Routes Oral, intramuscular injection

Wikipedia says hydroxyzine is RX only. I just wouldn't understand EMS administering this medication to her. Usually anti-nausea drugs that are given
are phenergan, reglan or sometimes compazine, and I'm pretty sure she wasn't freaking out if she wasn't conscious, nor showing any display of allergic reaction. But who knows, they may have been instructed to give her an injection of it. In my experience, I've never heard of this drug being administered during transport, though. Hopefully a prescription can be tracked down..

It may have been given to her to counteract side effects of another administered med..

ETA:

The anti-histamine Zyrtec may show up in the tox screen as hydroxyzine, but just recently Zyrtec was available OTC. So in 1999, she would have had to have a RX, unless she got it from someone else.. and I'm praying she didn't so that a prescription can be tracked down! And I'm not even 100% sure Zyrtec would show up as hydroxyzine, I just researched that the active form of hydroxyzine is called cetirizine, so it may show up in the tox screen as exactly that if that's what she was taking.

I also found this:

Concentrations of monoethylglycinexylidide (another drug that was found in her blood) in body fluids of deceased patients after use of lidocaine for endotracheal intubation. (pretty invasive procedure)

Thank you FMW! Sounds to me like LE does have the hospital records and know the hydroxyzine was not administered in treatment. Would you agree?

Gosh, I'm having a hard time believing that no one in that car was charged with a crime. How in the HECK would this child have such severe head injuries with only contusions and abrasions (bruises and scratches) on the rest of her body?!?

I'm sure this was looked at by LE, but it totally looks like she was beaten about the head before "exiting the vehicle" or just landed *plop* on her head without trying to brace herself whatsoever. No broken wrists or anything. Just...weird.

Ok, I read the ME report and a few things stood out to me. She was 13-15 years old, according the forensic anthropologist. I'd be leaning closer to the older end of that spectrum, 15-16 years old.

I believe she was a brunette that died her hair blonde. I figured this because of the brown roots and the brown pubic hair. Maybe she died her hair blonde when she ran away (speculating) in hopes her family wouldn't be able to find her. She seemed like she was well cared for... Maybe she was living with people that were pimping her out... Just a thought. That could be why she wasn't reported missing......

If she was 13-15, the tattoo on her breast probably wouldn't have been done professionally, since most tattoo parlors won't tattoo minors under 18, therefore it was probably a home tattoo.

I don't know... these are just a few things that stood out for me physically about MJD. God bless her and I hope they find her identity soon!

Was there any blood in the car that we know of?

The police report doesn't say - but that car was compromised while it was impounded. Yet another question. I know we're supposed to be working on identifying MJD - but honestly, after seeing the police report and the ME report, I just feel that "someone" got away with murder here. Not sure, but I don't think it would be double jeopardy if Alonzo was charged with her murder. ...
