Media Links - NO DISCUSSION

Why and how would someone single out Christopher Coleman to put threats in his mail box now and then against JMM or his job? Why wouldn't those threats go directly to JMM as the others did before? I don't see any reason for anyone to threaten him over JMM either. He is just one of many, many people who work for her.

How did they find him? Where did they get his home address? How would they know his schedule? When Chris left to go to the gym, how did the perp know where he was heading and how long he would be gone? How convenient the perp found a window of opportunity from 5:30 am to 7:00 am on that particular morning. Wouldn't it have been easier for the perp to wait until he was out of town or at work overnight?!

The supposed threats leave more questions than answers and LE evidently did not classify the threats as a crime. The spokesperson for JMM also had an interesting comment to add:

Roby Walker, a spokesman for Joyce Meyer Ministries, a worldwide operation with a television program, said Thursday, "We're not making any comments that would hinder any investigation..." Asked whether the slayings are causing particular alarm there, he said, "I see this as an isolated incident."

I would think threats over his employment with JMM as indicated by reports from the neighbors and LE would have JMM on high alert. I guess not. Joyce Meyer showed up at the murder scene within an hour of LE. Did she have a security team with her? Was she at all concerned for her safety after hearing about those threats the past six months? How would she know it wasn't a neighbor she was consoling over the murders sending the threats?

Not sure if this has been posted yet.. (I apologize if it has been)

COLUMBIA, Ill. (AP) -- The husband of a woman who was found murdered along with the couple's two sons in their southwestern Illinois home has hired a pair of St. Louis attorneys.

William Margulis said Sunday that he and his father, attorney Arthur Margulis, are representing Chris Coleman. Coleman's wife, 31-year-old Sheri Coleman, and sons, 11-year-old Garrett and 9-year-old Gavin, were found dead in the couple's Columbia home on Tuesday.

Police went to the home for a wellness check at Coleman's suggestion. Authorities have not named any suspects.

Margulis said he has "been in constant contact with police" regarding the case but that investigators hadn't given him any information regarding Coleman's status.

COLUMBIA, Ill. -- Christopher Coleman, whose family was slain in Columbia, Ill., last week, briefly returned to the police station this afternoon to provide fingerprints under court order, Major Case Squad spokesman Jeff Connor said.

Ill. man gives fingerprints in triple homicide

Associated Press - May 11, 2009 5:14 PM ET

COLUMBIA, Ill. (AP) - A southwestern Illinois man whose wife and two children were found murdered last week in their home has given investigators his fingerprints.

Investigators declined Monday to publicly name Chris Coleman as a suspect in last Tuesday's killing of 31-year-old Sheri Coleman and the couple's two sons, 11-year-old Garrett and 9-year-old Gavin.

Coleman and his attorney left the Columbia Police Department without answering questions from reporters. Attorney Bill Margulis said later that police did not ask Coleman any questions and that Coleman willingly gave the fingerprints.

No charges have been filed in the case. Investigators say a task force set up after the killings will continue investigations indefinitely.

Police on Monday released the home to the family.

He sure did...right after the judge signed the warrant for them. ;)

I believe a quote from LE instead of from his attorney any day~

If you watch the video (Chris Coleman provides fingerprints to police), they give out more information on several things including Chris was giving a "second set" of fingerprints to LE plus you can see and hear Major Jeff Connor stating there was indeed a court order. It is very interesting to get a visual while he is talking. ;) Reading between the lines is essential in this case.

The below article states that mom and boys were strangled. Verified info or assumption?

http://www.bnd.com/100/story/765109.html

(snip)
A week after a Columbia woman and her two young sons were strangled, police haven't named any suspects, but Monday, they took fingerprints from the husband and father, Christopher Coleman.

Here is our local newspaper - it only comes out once a week on Thursday (it had nothing in it last week on the Coleman case - not sure why but it could be the story was too raw to publish anything about it or the press plates where already assembled for the week when the story broke wide open in this little town)
