Are you talking about Jame’s social media posts? If so, would the technology forensics detective be able to recover them? Or, can he just recover messaging?
I imagine (only a guess) it would be a stark contradiction to any pity story her makes claiming he was careful with guns

He makes or she makes?

An Oakland County judge has denied James Crumbley's request to move his trial to another county, ruling that the father of the Oxford High School shooter can get a fair trial in the county.

Crumbley's attorney Mariell Lehman asked Judge Cheryl Matthews to move the trial to another county because the level of publicity his wife Jennifer Crumbley's trial received would make it difficult for him to receive a fair trial. Jennifer Crumbley was found guilty on four counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Matthews denied this request Thursday, but noted that Crumbley can renew his request for a change of venue during jury selection if necessary...

James can still request change of venue? Jury selection could be very interesting.

Another report about the bomb threat this morning.

Students at Oxford High School were dismissed early Monday after a threat outside of the building prompted officials to place it on lockdown, district officials said.

Classes were dismissed at 11 a.m. after police gave the all-clear, they said in a statement.

"The police investigation has cleared the Oxford High School parking lots and cars," the statement said. "The investigation is still in progress."...

When does it end. The parents and children are reliving a nightmare.

Hey everyone, when you were a kid/teen and if you snooped around your parent's bedroom don't ya think that them hiding stuff from you in their bedroom furniture was a joke?
To me that's not hiding at all.
Maybe like putting the unloaded/locked gun and bullets in the attic/basement in the bottom of separate boxes of Christmas decorations?

"Storage of the gun is a key issue in this case, as the prosecution has argued the Crumbleys gave their son easy access to a gun that he used to kill people, while James Crumbley has maintained the gun at issue was hidden in an armoire, unloaded, and that the bullets were in a separate drawer hidden under some jeans. Jennifer Crumbley also testified that the gun wasn't really a gift — even though she described it as that on social media — but that their son was allowed to use it only at shooting ranges with his dad.'

He’s still guilty. He was the legal owner of the gun. He’s responsible for his son as a parent and the gun as the legal owner. I don’t see him getting off. IMO

Of course he's still guilty because EC had no problem finding, loading and using his gifted semi-automatic handgun.
My point being James put the gun/ammo in his bedroom armoire which is not hiding it.

And you can't hide guns you lock guns up.

In this Q&A, adapted from the March 1 episode of Public Health On Call, Tim Carey, JD, a law and policy adviser at the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions, talks about the unique facts of this case, its larger implications, and why child access prevention laws are an important part of the conversation.

Tell us about this unprecedented case. The case of Jennifer Crumbly is truly unprecedented.

Never before in the history of this country has a parent been charged for the offenses committed by their child in a school shooting, which is saying something in America, where we have the highest rate of school shootings among peer nations.

To get a sense of why this case is so important, let's look at the facts. There was a hearing in a Michigan criminal court in February 2024 where [Jennifer Crumbley] the mother of the Oxford High School shooter was tried and found guilty on four counts of manslaughter, one for each child that her son murdered in the Oxford High School shooting on November 30, 2021.

The rationale behind these charges was that she was so negligent, so reckless in how she handled firearms, how she allowed her child to have access to firearms, and how she failed to see or act upon all the warning signs that led up to the shooting, that the court actually found her criminally liable.

To understand the gravity of how the court reached this finding, we should look back to the shooting itself. On that day, school officials brought the shooter's parents into school to discuss their son's mental health and well-being after he depicted a gun and bloodshed on a school assignment.

His teachers were very worried and called his parents that same day, but the parents opted to not take their child home. Hours later, the child began shooting fellow students and school staff with a gun that he had in his backpack that his parents had bought for him a few days before.

Any thoughts on whether or not James will take the stand? Jennifer's wanton hubris got her convicted, but I don't see James as having the same level of false confidence. He seems quite meek, even browbeaten, and I think a jury might actually sympathize with him. Also, unlike Jennifer, I believe that James will have character witnesses testify in his behalf. If Jennifer hadn't taken the stand, Shannon Smith had no case. JMO

I don't think he will take the stand, at the advice of his attorney, and because it usually doesn't benefit defendants to do so. JMO.

Why?

She still was last adult seen with gun and there was still the bad decision for Ethan's journal to be read and she left the school meeting without doing and saying what was necessary.

It did really hurt her on the stand to say she wouldn't do anything different.

2 Cents

I still cannot believe that she said that. 4 children are dead.

James Crumbley has not paid his attorney for nearly two years, since his Oxford home was sold, according to an affidavit he filed with the court.

The father of the Oxford High School shooter, who is set to go on trial starting Tuesday for four counts of involuntary manslaughter, has been in custody in the Oakland County Jail since his arrest Dec. 4, 2021. He has not been able to convince judges in Oakland County to reduce his bond, and he cannot afford his $500,000 bond, Crumbley wrote.

"I have not paid my attorney additional funds since the funds provided after the sale of my home," Crumbley wrote.

The Crumbleys' East Street home in Oxford was sold in March 2022 for $150,000, according to county records...
