I should go back and try to find the video,but didn't Nikki say during a PC that Ally had turned to face her attacker at some point?
If so is there evidence to point toward Ally having turned back from her starting path?

So she was killed 4 minutes away from her parents home. Wow. I thought I read she was close to home but didn't know she was that close.

No, honestly... I have a few guesses, but honestly... OK, lets just be real, we're talking about a man who held a 15 year grudge against his daughter, never forgiving her, not talking to her.... and all because she called him a "loser" when she was a teenager?
I'm sorry, but I honestly have a very difficult time wrapping my mind around that kind of mentality... and I think most of do.
So for me, this means that trying to predict how a man with that kind of mentality might react under different situations is nearly impossible... because i would have never have predicted someone would ever hold a 15 year grudge against their own daughter for something so petty.
Would any of you predicted that Franz would have reacted that way? Of course not!

I'll admit that it does cause me pause that Ally was that close to her home.At first I considered it may be random,but that many shots indicate someone meant business and had some anger toward Ally.
ETA. Do you know if Franz was big on using guns or did he just have a gun for hunting or protection.

Did Franz or anyone else had a past issue with weight? He doesn't look overweight in the CWD interview. Not that people haven't called others fat when they aren't, just wondering if that's a sensitive topic for anyone?

It helps to have a sense of humor. Funny the things people come up with to call others when angry.
O/T. I recall being angry when this guy took what I considered my parking space. I was thinking in my head that he was a creep and a creature so I combined the two words and called him a creepture. I had to laugh seconds later at my choice of words.

From all accounts, Ally wasn't acquainted with the type of person statistically associated with gun violence.

She wasn't sexually assaulted prior to being murdered.

So the manner in which she was murdered points to either:

1. Someone she knew

2. A thrill-kill by a stranger

3. A jealous rival known by either her or her boyfriend

Did Nikki really mean that Franz didn't talk to Ally for the past 15 years?

Maybe she meant that he didn't talk to her for a short period of time way back then, until he got over it and moved on.

I really feel for Franz and Nikki. Losing a child is the worst thing in the world. Anyone who hasn't experienced it can't truly grasp the impact. Watching the CWD with Franz's over-rouged cheeks...I don't know, I just felt sympathy for them. No parent should have to bury their own child.

Like I mentioned pages ago, if you've not ever been interviewed for media in regards to your own child's tragic, untimely death, it's impossible to predict how you would act. It's a surreal experience, and even though mine was edited in a way which was appropriate and captured the essence of my interview, it was still edited to show me fidgeting or nodding at times where the audio wasn't actually what I was hearing when doing said fidgeting or nodding about during the recording. News pieces can be deceiving, but I'm giving these bereaved parents the benefit of the doubt.

BUT, Ally never said anything about Franz being “physically abusive”... And I would NEVER pretend like she did!
I would never tell such a serious lie like that just to “get back” at Nikki and Franz, or to deflect attention away from myself...

@Combatmedic2121 , I appreciate the time you take here to answer questions, supply new info and clarify murky areas. Sometimes I think people get so wrapped up in solving crimes that the victim gets lost in the details.

That doesn't happen here, thank goodness. Justice is slow here, but still coming.

I have another question: was it a 4 minute walk or a 4 minute run from the family home to where Ally was found?

Never was a runner but have walked/hiked in wooded areas. I always kept all my needed items in a fanny pack or pocket.Never had a problem with anything getting really wet. Seems if the weather was really bad the running would be called off.

I slip my phone in a ziploc bag when I run. Keeps the sweat off, too.

I honestly believe a serious confrontation occurred at that house before Ally left for her run. I think Ally probably told Franz to “**** off!” right before taking off in the heat of the moment without grabbing her phone.

I think Franz boiled over with anger and he over reacted. He grabbed a shotgun and drove off after her (4 mins down the road)

Was the shotgun that was found in Franz/Nikki's closet tested to determine whether or not it was the murder weapon? Were the particular shotgun casings found at the murder scene matched to any shotgun ammunition in the house?

Does Franz own a light-colored 4-door car (as was reported being seen speeding down the road after the murder)?
