MI - Bianca Jones, 2, Detroit, 2 Dec 2011 - #4 - *D. Lane guilty*

  • #1,081
There is little joy for me. Bianca is dead and her mother totally supported this man. So did his "fiance" who had a role in intimidating her daughter to not tell the truth in court.

I am, however, pleased that this was a jury who saw through the missing memories and read the situation for what it was. LWOP for D'Andre is good news for the community.

Rest in peace now, Bianca.

D'Andre's fiance is not the mother of the then 7 yr old daughter. The fiance is the mother of his other then 2 yr old daughter who is a few months older than Bianca was when she was murdered.

The 7 yr olds mother had for unknown reasons allowed her daughter to live with DL, she was at the time a non custodial parent. According to her testimony, she removed her daughter from DL's care the day following Bianca's disappearance and they later moved out of Michigan.

At least 3 women that DL fathered children with supported him over Bianca. Bianca's mother, his fiance (mother of sibling close to Bianca's age) and the 7 yr olds mother.

To stay within TOS, I can't say what I think about these women who supported DL. I can say I hope now that he has been convicted of murder they find the means to clear the fog out of the mind and see who/what he really is.

Thank you for straightening that all out for me. My heart was in the right place, but the inability to follow the trial as closely as I would have liked to fogged my already fogged brain.

I am still on vacation with my little ones, but I am sneaking a peak on my phone. I am SO glad that the verdict was IMHO the correct one! This will not bring back beautiful little Bianca, but it WILL prevent further abuse to other children.

I will never understand how so many people can be fooled and charmed by this guy?!! So glad the jury wasn't!

R.I.P. Little One - Bianca there are so many here who have come to love you and you will live forever in our hearts <3

It may be quite hard to come to terms with it because if one admits him to be a child abuser and a murderer one might have to face some hard truths about oneself, like, what about me made me choose to have children with a child abuser and a violent man, and why did I let any of my children anywhere near him, why didn't I intervene, what should I have done to stop it... etcetera. And in case some of them bought into his disciplinary philosophy, they might have to admit they've been abusing children too and have to re-evaluate everything, and seek help.

But... anybody who had a hand in convincing some of the other children to lie to protect DL probably knows him for what he is, they just don't care that much.

For all of his early bravado in the case - recall media appearances with DL with both insisting that Lane was innocent - Terry Johnson seemed more than a little dejected upon learning the guilty verdicts of his client. He said that the jury had spoken and that their decision had to be respected. TJ mentioned the possibility of some appealable issues but didn't seem particularly convinced that this would be successful. I doubt that the verdict will be overturned, and I believe that the Judge will render the maximum sentence to the frequent-offender, newly-convicted-baby-killer. :moo: I was watching livestream coverage and sent the Judge a virtual high-five when she instructed the bailiffs to "take him out".

I saw an interview on Local 7 at PM with the Grandmother of Bianca begging to know where her grand daughter is. It was very sad :(

Pretty sure they will appeal so I doubt he will give up his charade...

As soon as I can find a link with the brief grandmother interview I'll try and post it.

The Grandma broke my heart yesterday :(

Below is a link that contains a video of Bianca's grandmother, Banikas Mom, begging to know where her grand daughter is :( She also addresses some of the Questions regarding Bianka.

The second video on the page is a 5+ minute video of the Verdict reading. With The comments from Judge and DL looking as if he is going to faint at the end :)~

Can someone transcribe what Bianca's grandmother said for those of us without sound?

TIA!

Sorry Cubby ....

I transcribed what the grandmother said but not the whole clip.

GM: He knows where she is. and God just tell us where she at still…..

RTR: We asked Lillia what so many people have wondered. How her daughter, Biankas own mother
Could support Lane through all of this.

GM: In her heart she can not say, think, or believe that, that baby is dead. She just can’t. If she say
He did it then she gotta say her baby dead and she can’t

Appearance by TJ proclaiming his client still maintains his innocence and that they and DL were surprised
About the verdict due to what they say is “Lack of Evidence”.

Second appearance by Grandma sound clip –

GM: I just wish he tell us what he did with her. Cause we just need her back {sobbing}

Thank you, Guinevere!

My heart breaks for Lillia. I just want to reach through the computer and hug her when I see her interviews.

I wish DL would fess up Bianca's location, but according to LE/Pro's they believe her remains are not recoverable and we've seen MSM mention incinerator.

I'm still curious as to why they believe incinerator and not the river. Were chemicals found on DL's clothing that would only be emitted or found from contact with an incinerator?

Topic change, I still go back to DL's words from a MSM interview shortly after Bianca's disappearance. His words, paraphrased were something along the lines of unless my daughter comes home it is of no consequence to me. He used the word consequence rather than interest. That leads me to believe he was really convinced no body no murder conviction. I'm glad the jury proved him wrong.

I doubt that Bianca's remains will ever be discovered because D'Andre made sure that her tiny body would never be found. He figured that if there was no body there wasn't a case against him. Lane's inexperienced attorney convinced him that the lack of evidence would likely result in an acquittal. Thankfully, an intelligent jury trusted the forensic findings in the case and proved DL and TJ wrong. :moo:

Thoughts and prayers for Bianca's grandmother who has been an advocate for the child. Perhaps in time she will be able to help Banika come to terms with the loss of her daughter. :rose:

Maybe, just maybe, D'Andre will have an ounce of humanity and reveal what he did with her remains. I won't hold my breath, but I'll hope for the sake of Bianca's family and his other children he'll reveal the location and slightly redeem himself.

:please:

I only wish they could find the closure they need and somehow find out where she is and bring her home so they can have some peace.

Until that happens I will never feel closure myself and every time I head into the City this poor child will be forever on my mind :(

Re: The fiance. Now that D'Andre has been convicted and is facing life in prison without parole, I wonder if this woman still plans to marry the guy? She might want to rethink that scenario for herself and her offspring. :moo:

At the very least, even if Bianca's remains are not recovered, I hope that her family will have a memorial service so that those who loved this beautiful child have an opportunity to grieve and contemplate Bianca's brief time on earth. :rose:

I've been away and distracted by the Jessica Ridgeway case, but was so happy to come here and learn that he was found GUILTY!!!! I am so happy that this man won't be running around beating and killing his own children any longer and more importantly, creating more children.

This case has been so emotional for me. What a beautiful, innocent sweet little baby girl and gone for no reason other than a cowardly, selfish, disgusting monster she was unfortunate enough to have as a father.

He didn't want her...then why didn't he just WALK AWAY??? He never provided her with anything, nor any of his other children. Why couldn't he just leave her be??? This poor sweet baby, whipped to death by her own father for doing something as innocent as having an accident?? I can't imagine what went through her poor sweet little head to have this monster she called "daddy" do this to her and what fear and pain she had to deal with on her last night on this earth.

This man is a monster, much like so many others (i.e. Jeryce!) and I am so glad that he will now spend the rest of his life behind bars. I hope these baby mamas realize that they will never get ANYTHING from this man ever again and will keep their children away from him (i.e. visiting him in jail!) and carry on with their lives.

God bless you sweet little Bianca. Justice was served with you baby girl! Now go and rest in peace, angel...

Thinking of Bianca today. How exactly does someone beat to death a child as tiny as Bianca was? She was only two. A mere 24 months old. I look at her and wish I could pick her up and run with her to keep her away from the monster who took her life.

One month from today the monster who did this will learn his sentence.

He's what, 32? I imagine he'll have a good 50 years (at least) behind bars to think about what he did. :jail:

I've followed this case since precious Bianca was reported "missing." Men like Lane make me nauseated-and women who latch on to men like him nauseate me even more. They bring babies into the world with men who dont work-dont support their children, and can't possibly be a supportive hands on parent. How can you properly parent children born to six different women? Where do you get the time? The money? What kind of example are you setting? He spent some time in prison, then all of a sudden he comes home to be Daddy of the Year-with his tape wrapped stick. To hit a baby with a stick at the age of two-for an accident she had. May he spend sleepless nights in his cell for the rest of his life. And may his women thank their lucky stars that he is going away-at least their children won't be murdered by him.

I pray for Bianca's loved ones.

Thank goodness!

JMHO but he's going to have a hard time in prison. He beat a baby to death which not only makes him a monster but a straight up punk.

He surrounded himself with women he could manipulate, thinking himself a playah. IMHO.

The other inmates are going to eat him alive. JMHO.

Oh Well~
