I was just reading back at the very start of this thread. And in the very first pages, members here went and found Jaimies FB, and they all said " wow, only ONE picture of Carnel on her FB." Looking back, I find that very telling. Most single moms of four yr olds that adorable have many many cute pix of them.

Exactly. I understand some people do not post their kids on their Facebooks that love their children very much, but they do that to protect them. And in my experience, it seems to be they either don't post their kids, or you have the mothers/fathers that do. KWIM? As for me, I have five kids and have pictures of them ALL OVER my Facebook. I have ONE album dedicated to pics of me, but pictures of my kids and my show dogs dominate my Facebook albums most definitely.

Records in Tribal Court are not public information. Tribal Spokesman Frank Cloutier said Monday that Jaimee Chamberlain was successful in regaining custody of Carnel in the Tribal system and completed what was required to get her child back, adding that her progress says something about her and her love for the child.

Wonder what that was? I noticed the huge medicine wheel tattoo on her back from her FB photos (I'm guessing it's her own back) and I have to think she may have been what I call "walking proud and tall" after possibly completing a program within her community. I taught many First Nations teens in my urban community and I know a bit about the inherent problems that make Native teens and young people at risk for so many things. I think she thought she could handle being a mom, that she thought she was ready for it, and she had her man to help her. Big mistake, of course. Bad choice of man, with the feather tat. He didn't honor what that feather meant. JMO of course.

Does anyone know if JC continued to live with AB after Carnel went missing?
Also I wonder if Carnel was burned inside the home why she didn't notice any smell.
She only mentions a few stains that smelled of cleaning fluid and a wet carpet in the bathroom,iirc.

She didn't mention anything about a smell on Nancy Grace, from what I recall. She also mentioned about finding Carnel's wet clothes in the laundry area.

I'm just going to throw this out there....do you think there is any chance whatsoever that the remains found under the house isn't Carnel's?

I ask for a couple of reasons. The first, there was a mention of a green/dark van in front of the house the 1st night. Second, I read somewhere that AB had burned animals in that stove. Lastly, the attorney said they couldn't really identify the remains as human since it was so badly burned.

Thanks. And I can't recall if there was something about a pool being drained?
I don't know if that came from Jaimee or was just being batted around via one of the blogs.
I do know that she had said she thought AB was hiding something so I wondered if she still stayed with him in spite of her feelings.

Until absolute confirmation, there's always a chance. However, I don't think the family would've been so quick to jump the gun if they could not have discerned whether or not the bones were human or animal. I think it was said that they couldn't positively identify the remains as Carnel because of how badly burned, but I'm almost certain they know they are human remains.

LE anywhere is pretty careful about identifying remains. They use dental, DNA (anything that is at their disposal) before notifying family and then the public.

Imo, the remains are Darnel's.

Especially if it was just a wood stove in the home. Those do not get all that blazing hot. In order to truly burn up a body you need a very hot fire, not just a wood stove.

Yes.That is what I thought.They say even in cremation in an enclosed container it takes a long time...of course that would be to the point of ashes and in this case they found remains.

I spoke to a friend who has a child who passed away in January of this year, and the father of her child is Native American but from a different MI tribe. She told me that she received money from the tribe because of her daughter's death. I wonder if Jaimee would receive some type of death benefits for Carnell?

Poor Carnel should have been getting ready for pre-k not his death. I can't hardly bear to think of the abuse he suffered. I certainly hope he passed on quickly and wasn't tortured.

I don't think she left because she was suicidal. She could have taken care of that without leaving the area. In fact, I think she would have done it right there, to be found, if she was wanting to end it all. JMO

Honestly, no, I do not think the remains found under the home are anything other than those of Carnels.

A forensic anthroplogist would be able to determine within a short amount of time, a few days at most, if the remains were not human.
