BBM... what info would lead them to include Ohio and Indiana in their search and not expand beyond that?
Simplest explanation is that Ohio and Indiana border Michigan to the south.

-The Monroe County sheriff's department has said there's no evidence that Bruck was hurt or killed,

Sounds like they think she might have taken off willing with someone.... yet the 30K reward make it sound like they know harm has come to her...
I feel that article is very misleading.-

I'm still not sure on that, unless they have an eyewitness who saw it and came forward. There is still that guy in the one picture who just happens to have a cut on HIS forehead. That would be an awfully odd coincidence. If they are still going by a phone call where someone said Chelsea called and said she had run into a pole, I still believe it is possible that the person misheard and Chelsea said that someone she was with ran into a pole. JMO, though. The reward has been posted for information that will help find Chelsea. I would assume this means that if someone knows that Chelsea "ran off with someone", this would be reported to authorities.
I'm not sure what to make of the comment about Chelsea not being hurt. Presumably, this means that someone else didn't hurt her, but within the text of that article is the link for this media report that suggests that Chelsea was hurt at the party.

MONROE, MI -- Police revealed new information in the case of missing 22-year-old Chelsea Bruck on Wednesday.
In an afternoon news conference, Monroe County Sheriff Dale Malone said Bruck suffered injuries hours before she was last seen. "About 12:45 a.m. Chelsea was walking around and ran into a wooden post and suffered a cut on the top of her nose and a smaller cut on her forehead," said Sheriff Malone...

ok I'll bite, why just south?Simplest explanation is that Ohio and Indiana border Michigan to the south.
ok I'll bite, why just south?
I responded to a post about why LE was looking for Chelsea in Ohio and Indiana. Those states share northern borders with southern Michigan, while Wisconsin shares eastern border with Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
And really, Michigan's other directions are surrounded by The Great Lakes. The only direction to drive to other states would be to head south.
ok I'll bite, why just south?
And its a verboten topic on WS. ; )
I prefer to believe that everyone has varying degrees of deductive reasoning and intuitive experiential skills. LE folk have great skill in this area. Kind of like the ability to take all sorts of data points, see patterns, and statistically predict probabilities.
