I am so in awe of Chelsea's mom Leannda. Every news clip I see her in, she is a tremendous example of faith, grace, and strength. Surrounding Mrs. Bruck with a heavenly host of angels to support her, and saying a special prayer to St. Michael to intervene and bring justice! Lord hear my prayer!

I have a horrible feeling this case is going to go cold.. Just a feeling. Too little word from LE on any potential leads or movement in this case, it's hard to stay positive :(

I can't help but wonder about the first person charged with lying to police wanting to be a "hero". To go as far as saying he had CBs blood on his shirt from helping her, almost sounds like he is trying to create an "explanation" for having her blood on him. My gut is telling me that he may know more.

I wonder if he took a poly? I would hope so. I agree, unless he is demented, there must be something to this

Greetings from the Caribbean enroute to Aruba. DH told me about the two people who lied to LE in the Chelsea Bruck case. He read it on the Detroit News site while I was at a wine tasting :D Hoping and praying for a break in the case.

that could very well be the case. I know they say these were both false statements, but goodness-- who knows?! wonder if these 2 people know eachother- any chance their stories could coincide... I mean do they polygraph them to find out these aren't true, or do these people just end up saying ''ahh nah, I was just kiddin with yall" .. something happened that night! and someone, if not multiple people know something!!

Every time I think "why would a person just admit to a crime they didn't commit?!" Then I instantly think about that guy that claimed to have killed JonBenet Ramsey.. Some absolute whackos out there.

Hope you are having a wonderful time!
Some of us are not so sure the guy's lie doesn't have some truth to it....

Difficult to access internet onboard :banghead:

I, too, thought something was odd about the "lies" and agree that these two should be prodded until they tell the truth about what they know. I feel that LE is making progress and that there will eventually be an arrest.

Arresting them may give some more leverage if what you think is true, otherwise they may have wasted so much of LE's time egregiously already that an arrest was in order.

Hi BDE! Hope you are enjoying your holiday!
I agree there will be an arrest because of the determination of the Monroe County Sherriff's, and Mrs. Bruck. That woman is very inspiring; her faith is powerful, and it truly shines through! With the news about these two story tellers, it illustrates that LE is bearing down. The pieces will come together....
I do think, however, that they should dig deeper with the "blood on shirt" guy. Something is still bothering me about that.

I'm just guessing, but if there was indeed a bloody shirt, I'm pretty sure LE would test it to make sure it was indeed Chelsea's blood. It's probably more likely he couldn't produce any bloody shirt to back up his story. I just really wonder about his motive and the details of his story. Who's car or what kind of car did he "help her into"...why was she bloody enough to supposedly get it all over his shirt? I'd love to read his statement to LE!

Harlin Bird admitted to making false statements to investigators because he wanted to look like some sort of hero.

Kerri Ann Carr lied when she claimed that her ex-boyfriend confessed to killing Chelsea.

"We're not charging you if you think you have information and it just doesn't pan out," says Benore. "However, if you are taking us down a wrong path and it's for your own gain, we will not tolerate it."

Interesting that the 19 year old male from Flat Rock WAS at the same party (per article from OldSteve). Maybe he could really know something? The 29 year old female from Toledo just wanted to get back at her ex.

The 29 year old story teller should be tasked with scrubbing toilets at the county jail as part of her debt for her troublemaking. Nothing like scrubbing filthy public toilets to improve behavior and straighten up disordered thinking....

It still seems amazing that other than a vendor who actually spoke to the two of them, just before the POI went to the parking area with Chelsea Bruck, nobody at BM's bash would have noticed a thing about the the POI at all. That he wouldn't be on any captured images made available to LE; that he may not have spoken to anyone else who can remember him; that there is no clue as to who he may be yet; it all seems to say something about the POI's furtive behavior, it seems possible, or that the POI is being covered for also seems possible (known but scrubbed, distracted from with misleading information), especially considering the false leads LE just started prosecuting.

Do you think the POI is a random person who was never known by anyone else at BM's bashes or the music scene around Monroe, a complete unknown to about 600 people, who kept a low profile at the bash?

Do you think Chelsea was a victim of opportunity or is there reason to believe otherwise?

HG, it sounds like your thoughts are running parallel to my own. I am torn as to how well known this person may have been, particularly in these events. Somehow, some way, I believe Chelsea knew him, if only by a few brief encounters in the past. That would mean, to me, that others are aware of him to some extent --- wouldn't her friends have some indictation of his appearance? Or was she hoping to meet up with him at the party? Could/would she have kept it a secret? Doesn't really seem like her, but anything is possible. I just don't feel it is a complete stranger, though I do feel she did not know him very well but trusted him. A loner, quiet, stayed on the fringes ......
