I understand your anger.
However I'm sure if someone intervene there would be more fatalities/injuries.
I want to come home to my kids. I'm sure that's cowardly. An alive coward.

I think I would be brave and call the police if I witnessed an abduction. if anyone of the witnesses took action, they may have saved Deontae's life.

I couldnt help my eyes welling up. I the that this baby is gone. I hate that he had to help look for the cousin, probably hoping every second that they didn't spot him. I hate that I watched his last moments alive, being shoved in a car by a man with a gun.

This is not life. This is not normal. My guess is that they saw the money drop and being little boys, snuck and picked it up without returning it, giggling that they were just a little bit richer. Many kids would do the same. And none should be killed. I keep trying to shake it off, but this child.... this CHILD! Who had a summer just starting with his cousin. He's now gone! And for what? The killer now spends a life behind bars, anyway. What did that accomplish?

UGGHH. I was sooooooo WRONG. I really believed, in my heart, that a grown man wasn't going to shoot a 13 yr old over some dropped bills. I really believed he would scare him, rough him up a bit, and shove him out the car to walk home scared....I was so wrong....:rose:

I had a friend in highschool murdered over a pack of cigarettes. This is bringing it all home so hard. That poor boy, his poor family, god his cousin, I can't even imagine.

DETROIT - A cause of death could be determined Friday for a 13-year-old Detroit boy who was abducted while riding his bike.

The Wayne County medical examiner's office is scheduled to perform an autopsy on the body of Deontae Mitchell, which was found Thursday in a field on the city's east side...
