Grand Rapids police are asking for tips from the public to locate a man who has not been seen since December.

The department says the U.S. Postal Service reported that 69-year-old Douglas Hafar's mail was not being collected. Police found Hafar's vehicle at his residence, but he was not there.

Police are asking anyone with information on Hafar's whereabouts to call them at 218-326-3464.

Hafar is 5'6" tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has medium-length red-gray hair and a beard, and uses a cane.

has anyone looked into foul play? or not really? i just am kind of curious as if he was linked into drug play or alcoholism or anything like this? im not meaning this in a negative standpoint whatsoever, just trying to get a handle on this case
