In just a few hours hunters on foot, by boat, by car and truck will be spreading out a cross Michigan hunting. I am sure we all hope they will find out what happened to Jessica.Nothing new has been posted on the leg bone found by lake Michigan. Merry Christmas season all websluthers.

After re-reading it, I really doubt he has anything new at all. The part about the coworker coming in several times that night has not been on MSM ( that I know of..) but is all over the HFJH group on FB. I wonder if some of the folks he interviewed are the ones on that group who love to sling mud. The whole article seems to be kind of amaturish... I doubt very much his "11:15" reference there is anything more than reading that the police were there at 11:15 and getting his story wrong... Would love to be proved wrong but I am guessing it is more of a 'tug at the heart strings' kind of show than anything particularly factual...

Hi ya Cebee, I agree with you in regards that we both doubt he has anything new at all, because logically, if there was New Information that could help find Jessica or identify who took Jessica, this info would have Already been stated, not stay tuned for an interview or stay tuned for more info......It seems like Hype to keep the reader interested. How disappointing!, in my opinion! I haven't seen the "new" news yet, so it makes me pause....and even if something happened where the interview couldn't go as scheduled, then why not release the new info anyway to Help Find Jessica!

BDE....this is not news if you follow the gossip on social media. I haven't seen it anywhere officially, but the speculation has been heavy on social media for a several months.
Also, Jessica's family is very well aware of all of this, as they are involved in the FJH Facebook page.

But that's all it is - speculation. NSPD Chief Shaw said that the various scenarios that have been discussed on FJHFB have little or no bearing on the case. I took it for what it was: Petty gossip, innuendo, personal opinions, scuttlebutt, tawdry talk. I read some of it but didn't get the impression that someone actually wanted Jessica dead.

Chief Shaw and Jessica's family feel strongly that Jessica is still alive and is being held against her will. My impression of the FB chatter is that someone wants to teach Jessica a lesson. I can't imagine for even a nano-second that Jessica did something that warranted her annihilation. :moo:

My thoughts and prayers are with Jessica's family. I hope she returns to them soon. :rose:

I wonder Why it was canceled? If it was THAT important with NEW INFO in regards to Jessica why not write an article then with the info??
Hopefully, the interview will be rescheduled if there really IS new info.

The family canceled at the last minute. The half hour online broadcast was about the conviction in the MacNeill case.

Here's the link if you want to hear what Jon Lieberman says about JH: http://www.spreecast.com/events/victims-voice-with-jon-leiberman--5

Treelights post 91 gave the information the FBI could only come into a kidnapping case if the predator crossed state lines. Why did the FBI come into the kidnapping of Patty Hearst immediately. No state lines were crossed. Is it because her family had more wealth and
influence.

Anyone know why the family canceled the interview at the last minute? I dont see anything on the HFJH group ( which usually has lot of speculation on it...)

In 1973 a school superintendent was killed by the SLA, and a deputy also wounded. In Jan. 1974, two SLA members were charged with murder.
The FBI found documents from the SLA previous to the kidnapping of Patty Hearst. Yes, the Hearst family has wealth and influence and the SLA intended to "use" Patty Hearst as a tool, but I don't believe the reason why the FBI was involved in the Patty Hearst kidnapping/Tania of the SLA case is because her family had wealth and influence. The FBI was involved because the SLA was a revolutionary group that committed murder the previous year, as well as kidnapping Patty, and other activities, in my opinion.
The SLA needed to get the world's attention, hence kidnapping Patty, and their intentions were to use her as a hostage so that the two SLA members who were charged with murder, could go free.

Hopefully, the interview will be rescheduled, especially since it was mentioned that there is new information to be released in this interview.

IMO If Jedssica Heeringa were a rock star or the daughter of the Hearst family the FBI would be very actively involved ;in the case.:loveyou:

Hunters have found a body in Menominee County of a man. Posted 11/15/13. LE is finally receiving help from the public!

Not sure how stumbling upon a body while hunting is "finally" helping LE? Like they usually just step over it and go on hunting? I think it is not unusual for hunters to find people who have gone missing.. either thru abduction, suicide, people with dementia who became lost... probably a few in MI each fall... they are not out searching..or trying to 'help" LE... they are hunting, and if they come across a body, they are going to let LE know...
That said, if jessica is found deceased, it would not surprise me if a hunter stumbles upon her remains... best chance...

No new remains found by hunters. The Silver lake State Park shallow water and sand near to where the femur was found has been searched. Think Jimmy Hoffa before you vote to turn the search over to state LE. Local LE and people from the community could start periodic searches as they are doing every Saturday for Sierra Lamar for 1 year without finding her.Happy Christmas season websleuthers.

State lines do not need to be crossed for the FBI to assist in any type of investigation.

Just for clarification, Golden Bear quoted MY post in which I quoted Police Chief Dan Shaw. Perhaps this response should be better suited for Golden Bear. :)
as Golden Bear Thinks my post states that they can't. Dan Shaw said he would turn over jurisdiction to the FBI if state lines were crossed. The FBI has been consulted with during Jessica's disappearance, so I agree with Your Post. :)

:tyou: It's not the responsibility of hunters to search for human remains. These outdoorsmen are not trying to help LE solve missing persons or other crimes: They are participating in a recreational activity.

And personally, I imagine the very last thing they want to do while out enjoying themselves is to stumble upon remains. It would have to be traumatic for them.

It is raining and very cold in Norton Shores. Silver Lake park is over 3,000 acres. It would take a big effort for citizens to search that park. Animals dug up the remains of the missing family of 4 here in California. It is very hard for predators to hide a body for very long.
