Thank you so much for being on this thread and for patiently answering our questions!
While we are all so curious and trying hard to help provide suggestions that may lead to answers, we also know we don't want you to say anything more about what was found in that room. We know that to do so could potentially handicap
the prosecutors case, so we will be patient! : )

Other questions. Do you know how often Julia and her stepdad interacted or saw each other? Did she seem to have about the same level of relationship with her stepdad as her twin? And as a tie in to the Bruck case, do we know how much interaction he would have had with Chelsea, and do we know if he was in to heavy metal music?

I know that they were very active as a family. Obviously, with Julia not living in the family home her relationship would not be EXACTLY the same as her twins.

I do not know anything in regards to the relationship with Chelsea's family and the Turnquist/Niswender family.

Is he still in custody? If so, then it has to be serious. They can't hold people on suspicion; there has to be something there. They are on to something, and most likely more than pedo porn, although that is certainly enough. All JMO and speculation, of course.

He is still in custody with a court date scheduled for March 12th @ 8:30. He is being held on the "images" and at this time not on Julia's case.

How long has/had JT been teaching at the martial arts academy? Would the school have run a background check on him prior to hiring, especially if he was going to be working with youngsters? Lately, it seems that anyone who is going to be coming into contact with children will have a background check before they're hired. School volunteers, including parents, might even be subject to background checks before being allowed to accompany children on field trips, assist in the classroom, etc. My dentist and his wife were surprised how carefully they were scrutinized when they offered to accompany (and drive) children on a field trip at their son's pre-school.

What's interesting is that IF we are talking about actual DNA at the scene ---- being JT is her step dad, they couldn't (just) compare the DNA of Julia's they (obviously) have to see if there is a relation...IYKWIM...They really would need his DNA to compare to any DNA sample collected, besides Julia's.

I have knowledge of evidence that has not been released in the media. My understanding was that they feared doing so for obvious reasons.

I saw this site a few days ago but didn't post it here. Notice that the photo gallery isn't available. I wonder if it was taken down after JT's arrest because he appears in pictures on the site? Is anyone surprised that there haven't been comments from students and/or parents who might have encountered Turnquist at the martial arts studio? :waitasec:

That I do not know. I can tell you that he did not have social media - and was not / is not someone who would discuss his or his family's private life like other's were. He is/was what I would call a "private" man.

I presume that JT gave his prints/samples, because what possible excuse could he have for not giving it?

I think you are right about the child pornography charges. To prove these charges, LE will have to show that he saved those images on the hard drive knowingly.
According to the attorney, there were only 8 images. Clicking on a wrong link could already put explicit images in your browser cache. I don't think this would be enough
for conviction.

For know, I will still presume that JT is innocent, in relation to Julia's death as well as to the child pornography charges.

A remarkable difference in this case, not many people coming out in disbelief with a 'he wouldn't hurt a fly' impression. What could people say? He was the gentlest karate master you ever knew. That wouldn't help much, at this point, I think.

I know I would be very leary giving up my dna or prints for fear of something randomly getting a hit and LE putting their "spin" on what happened. I mean it could be an empty water bottle shared, hair transfer on a hat or scarf or anything.

If he's the type to do something like this, he's managed to stay clear of it for a long time without fear of consequence of what if has been doing to those closest to him, do you think he will give anything up willingly? If he has anything to do with Chelsea's disappearance, in addition to this, it would seem to me he may be the kind of man who stops at nothing and may re-double his efforts.
