PONTIAC, Mich. (WILX) - The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a Pontiac teenager who ran away from home Thursday.

Kamarion Amir Johnson, 14, was reported missing by his mother from his home in the 200 block of Carriage Circle.

A Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit was called in an attempt to find Kamarion without success.

He had run away recently and was found by his mother, only to run away again before deputies arrived. There is a court order to lodge Kamarion in Oakland County Children’s Village because of home and school truancy.

Kamarion is 5-feet 7-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing all black clothing.

Anyone who has seen Kamarion or knows where he is should call the Sheriff’s Office at 248- 858-4950.

Nice-looking young teen. This is a sad and tuff one for both Kamarion and his mother.
I feel sure, if Kamarion knows about going to Oakland County Children’s Village, that that is the main reason he ran away. If that is indeed the reason he ran, I can understand his probable and unreasonable fear of the place -- away from home, away from his home turf and his friends. And a search for him with a K-9 unit sounds quite serious -- and scary, if Kamarion knew of that.
This young teen, IMO, is at a tuff crossroad -- one leading to a better future with help, education and support, with him trying to turn things around; and one leading to more and more problems with him continuing to get into trouble.
Some kids have a much more difficult path to adulthood, and IMO Kamarion is one of those unfortunate young teens. This is a sad situation for him, his mom, and for too many others in similar situations.
