[h=3]Police end dig for remains of missing Michigan girls[/h]
MACOMB TOWNSHIP, MI (AP) - Crews have stopped digging up an area in suburban Detroit where police have said they hoped to find the remains of up to seven missing girls.

Warren Mayor James Fouts told The Associated Press on Tuesday that the weeklong excavation on the outskirts of a subdivision in Macomb Township has ended.

Fouts says police are weighing whether to excavate three other locations in the state where they believe the suspect, Arthur Ream, could have taken the girls who disappeared decades ago.

This case I have studied very closely but there is not much to go on. Before Arthur ream came into the spotlight Nadine’s case had few details available. I feel that she may have been a victim of Carl Eugene watts because he lived in inkster at the time and she fit the profile of his other victims. She walking on the street by herself and Carl killed girls who were walking on the side of the street. She would have been his second victim.

But it is very unlikely they are a match as it is known Nadine had no tattoos

But she could have gotten one in a six year time frame from her 1974 disappearance to the date of discovery

Like most abduction victims, Nadine was probably murdered the day she disappeared.

Yes you may be right. I don’t know who else would’ve killed her. Carl Eugene watts maybe. But Arthur ream is unlikely because he confessed he was attracted to girls in their early teens like 13 or 14 but Nadine was 16 and I don’t know if Arthur was in inkster in 1974.
Like most abduction victims, Nadine was probably murdered the day she disappeared.

I was able to contact the boyfriend and he stated Nadine may have been killed by someone who knew her

I wonder whether he had someone specific in mind.

It's hard to envision someone Nadine's age pulling off a clean abduction, so I'd have to wonder about older males in her life (teachers, school counselors, friends of her parents, etc.).

ETA: To be clear, I do think that Nadine was probably a Watts victim.

I have a strong feeling that Nadine was abducted shortly after she left her home and was killed some time later. I also feel she was watts first or second victim. I read on the Charley project blog that Carl may have killed a girl in February of 1974 so Nadine would most likely be his second victim. I wonder if Nadine’s body is unidentified. I found that the Jane doe found In New Mexico bore a striking resemblance to her. The arroyo grande Jane doe was also similar but it is unlikely because Nadine had no tattoos. I really hope Nadine’s case is solved.

Nadine's DNA (and family DNA) is in the system. Like Ozoner, I think Watts got her. Poor thing.

Yea I want her case to be closed.

If watts did get her then where could he have disposed of her?

He seems to have used whatever method was expedient for disposing of his victims: he buried one, he left one in a trash dumpster, he stuffed one into a culvert, etc.
It would be helpful to know what his address was in Inkster.

ive Always believed that she was buried in a wooded area

I've Always believed that she was buried in a wooded area
On what is that belief based? It's fairly difficult to dig in a wooded area due to the tree roots. It doesn't seem like Watts ever put that much effort into anything.

Yea I wonder If Nadine’s case was ever linked to him. It’s very unlikely as there is no evidence in Nadine’s case and her body has yet to be found

I always believed that because it’s been 44 years and no trace of her was ever found
