Tomorrow will mark 48 years since Nadine went missing.

I realize that LE may have more information than what has been released, but I see nothing that would connect this case to Arthur Ream considering how far it was from his usual stomping grounds over in Macomb County.

Nadine disappeared smack dab in the middle of Coral Watts's comfort zone—regardless of whether he was living in the immediate area on that date—so I consider him a more viable suspect.

Some of the freeways that exist now did not exist in 1974—I'm thinking of I-696 in particular—so a trip from Warren to Inkster would have been one long haul.

If she was definitely walking—if there were non-family witnesses who saw her walking—then you can almost rule out someone from her family. No one from her family would have needed to harm her when she was away from the house. Any family member would have had numerous opportunities to harm her in private without the risk of being seen.

If it's only the family's word that she was out walking when she disappeared, then harm at the hands of a family member becomes more likely.

How long after her disappearance did her grandfather commit suicide? Also is the uncle still around?

Not Sure how long after, her sister would know and the Uncle I ve been told lives out west

With sincerest apologies to you, Frank, I realize it is supremely difficult but I heard about the arrest of trucker Garry Dean Artman for a murder in Michigan and another in Maryland. He has been on the roads all across the country for decades in fact he was driving in Mississippi when they arrested him. He was completely unknown in those two crimes until they did genetic genealogy. It seems he took his victims across the country so perhaps with our missing girls of that time that is why they have not been found locally. It may turn out to mean absolutely nothing to our missing in Michigan but I always hope for answers and locating them.

Artman is 64, so he would have only been 16—one year older than Nadine—at the time Nadine disappeared. I don't doubt that there are other crimes that can be laid at his feet, but I don't think Nadine's disappearance is one of them.

I'm sure you are correct. I saw the story and thought of Nadine and others into the eighties we have no answers on.
