Confused here, I thought that she met GK at the probation office? I agree, if she was on probation, why can't she be charged with violating the probation by letting a SO around her daughter?

IMHO,the use of concrete isn't all that uncommon in murderers trying to cover their tracks. We can find almost endless references if we google it.

But what is unusual is if this were an abduction/murder by a pedophile that used concrete. I've never seen that reported before and I agree they usually have such a disregard for their victims that when they do dispose of them they throw them by the wayside. Not bothering to conceal as much as other murderers.

Just my opinion.

Has LE said that 90 lbs of cement were used to cover Nevaeh?

Or could the remnants of a 90lb bag be used and the bag left behind? That would be why they are tracking the bag?

I saw the small area she was buried in and it doesn't look like it would take 90 lbs of cement to cover that small area?

Just a thought while we consider how to get a 90 lb bag of cement down a steep incline...maybe it wasn't full?

A 90lb bag of concrete mix wouldn't cover a very big area, just an area as big as what the bag is.

I've never seen or heard of a pedophile using cement to cover his prey. At the risk of being really gross I ask this question: Does anybody know what encasing a body in cement does to the rigor mortis phase of death? Someone with knowledge would know he has to put the body in certain positions but what happens to the gases - does the bloating up crack the concrete or does rigor not happen?

Another sick question: If cement is poured over a dead or live body, does the cement fill up the body orifaces? (sorry) but this information helps to know how sophisticated this pedophile/murderer really is. I'm also wondering if cement would cover up sexual assault...seems like it would. TIA

Kat - I think he knew Nevaeh and perhaps was grooming her, only to lose out over and over again. Maybe he missed snatching his prey many times and this time, he wasn't going to mess around. It's hard for me to think he cemented Nevaeh our of love and caring, but since he's not the typical pedohile, he may have done just that.

In one of the threads a poster indicated that the cement likely was mixed with too much water which made it grainy and unstable but easier to pour over the poor baby...but I think you are on to something regarding the changes from decomp perhaps cracking the cement...sort of like when roads expand and contract or a foundation settles...I get what you are saying.

John Wayne Gacy was a pedohile in Illinois and used cement to keep his victims close. I'm going to google him and see what it says about rigor mortis. Thanks for all the conversations.

I don't want to be a nag, but we are going to be really sorry later, when there's an arrest and trial and appeal, etc., if we don't start categorizing things we find out into separate threads. We'll never be able to find important posts buried among thousands of others.
Don't be shy about starting a thread. Seems like the burial site would make a good thread. So would the background of Jennifer and each of the people surrounding her. A separate thread to discuss the evidence would help, too. Oh, and a rant thread!

I know I'm the impatient sort but how long does it take to match Nevaeh's hair to her mothers to ID her? Does any of your supersleuths remember how long it took for Caylee's hair to be tested against Casey's? I could very well be wrong but in my very unprofessional opinion, maybe this would be the fastest method to ID Nevaeh?

So by his testimony I felt a assured she was in fairly good shape and now we are hearing badly decomposed. I just wonder if for some reason they are just withholding info for some reason???

They have to be withholding for some reason. As a PP stated, they would only have to do a hair strand test on NB v. JB to find out if it is NB. This wouldn't have taken that long. And we know that her hair would be there regardless of what state the rest of her is in. Additionally, they could sample from the bone and match it against JB.

I am sure that the ME and LE know that this is Nevaeh's body. I wonder if they are waiting for the toxicology test results to come back. But why? Why not just make the announcement that it is indeed this poor child's body?

So, JB was at the funeral home last night making her 20 minutes late for the NG show. IMO, What I simply cannot understand is why JB was not tremendously upset. I really could not tell by her appearance or voice that she was upset having just come from the funeral home. I would have been unable to speak, my eyes would have been swollen, and my voice would have sounded as if I were 'stopped up'. JB does not have normal feelings, imo.
