OMG I go away for a day and this thread blew up!
I caught up and I'm so sorry for the family of this woman. It's so sad to see this happen to a family. I just can't imagine.
i'm glad they caught DS and that RS will have a proper burial with a headstone. I can't call this a happy ending. But It's better than him being a UID for umteen years and never knowing who did this. Thank you guys for all your good sleuthwork. It gave me the opportunity to catch up and quickly.

Im interested on why LE was called to the home on more than one occasion. It was stated as "family trouble", but was it between her and Ramsay or was it while her husband was alive? She didn't live with Ramsay until recently and the reasoning was because of the fire in her home and renovations being done...BUT...

I just read in an article that her husband had been doing renovations in the house when he suddenly died at home. Then a fire breaks out later on (after he has passed) and now there's different renovations being done.

If her son was so troubling to her, why on earth move in with him?

BTW: I read on her FB that she worked for a nursing home. Not sure where surgical nurse came from. Does anyone know the license that she had? RN? BSN or lpn?

She also seemed to be very interested in breast cancer, I wonder if she had had it at some point?

Not sure, but she posted a link to a blog on her FB that starts out "You know you're an operating room nurse if....." so possibly people are assuming she was a surgical nurse when commenting on her employment? Or was her job reported in the news as being a surgical nurse? I only read "ex-nurse" in the articles but I just scanned through them and didn't read closely.

I think Ramsey and/or his brother must have been very close to their father. One of them has gone to the trouble of contributing an 'in memoriam' notice about their father's passing to their own alumni magazine. It's on page 37.

Ramsey graduated in 99. So he had 14 years for a career but there is a suggestion he wasn't in a career when he died? I wonder what happened - if he became ill and unemployed, gave up work to run the family business, or made enough money as an accountant he didn't have to worry about working for a while?

Not much to add but wanted to point out that her husbands memorial mass was at St. Joan of Arc Church..that is the same church that has a carnival every year, the one Bob Bashara showed up at, and IIRC, was asked to leave....small world....

Donna Scrivo filed a missing person’s report on Ramsay Scrivo Monday, saying he had not been seen for about a day. The dismembered human remains were found Thursday in garbage bags in rural parts of St. Clair and China townships. The remains were later identified by the FBI through fingerprints.

Scrivo was arrested Friday. Police had been searching for a heavyset, middle-aged, white woman who was seen dumping garbage from her SUV in the area on Thursday.

Bagged body parts were found discarded in four locations. Police also recovered a fifth bag containing clothes and other nonperishable items. Surveillance footage from a store put a woman, believed to be the mother, in the area around the time the body parts were dumped, police said.

I've just gotten up to speed on this whole thing... How horrifying. I really hope RS didn't suffer any pain.

She looks awful in the courtroom. Easier for me to believe what she's being charged with than it was just looking over her seemingly normal FB... jmo.

I wonder if that other young man in the camera frame is her other son? (ETA - not in the photos posted above, in the live feed)

They also said ties to New Orleans - that's where others have speculated her older son lives.
