that is what it sounds like to me.. oh and did you hear the bit about the bleach? there was bleach used to clean up her house as well

Oh no! I missed the part about bleach. They also didn't bring anything up (that I heard anyway) about the instrument of dismemberment, which other articles stated had been found and was possibly a chainsaw.

I wonder if neighbors didn't notice the noise because it was at her house that was being renovated, and chainsaw noise wasn't that unusual.

I think I saw on her FB that she has family from Tx or was maybe originally from there?

They also said ties to New Orleans - that's where others have speculated her older son lives.

My feed has cut out now though...

yes, the freep article stated that (nola ties)

they most likely do not have official COD/MOD yet and that is why they are waiting to tag on any other charges.

the detective was absolutely staring her down... and says she is a flight risk so I am just reading into this a bit but I would speculate that more charges will be coming up for this lady :twocents:

the judge only needed the basics.. (if any of that comes out it will most likely be at pre-trial hearing imhoo)

She's from Tx originally, that's where her mom died (per the obit I posted earlier) and where her marriage was registered in 1978.

I just caught up on this case and read all the posts here. Very crazy stuff...this happened really close to where I live (same as a couple other posters here it seems).

Anyway, I was just watching the live stream and it cut out just as the judge was talking about some kind of psychiatric evaluation and setting bond.

This is very tragic and difficult to comprehend.

Gary Lane where he lived is a condo, Lakeshore Condominions, the walls are paper thin there, I can't imagine no one heard a chainsaw....

Is 100K a typical bond in a murder case?

That's not her other son. He was waiting for the judge.

So much easier to hear. Thank you!

She had a lot of trouble answering the questions from the judge regarding whether she understood the charges against her.

The detective definitely did state that there are other criminal investigations pending on the defendant. So that would likely be the additional evidence to bring a murder charge?

Next court date Feb. 11th, bond set at $100,000.

So I was totally wrong - you can see at the end of the video that the young gentleman sitting in the courtroom that I thought might be her other son was actually there for the next case...

Well, the charges here didn't include murder...but even for what she is currently being charged with, 100k seems kinda low (at least comparing it to other local districts I know of and what they set their bonds at for lesser charges involving drugs).

Agree it seems low. And if there is the possibility of a murder charge??? I don't get it.

Great on the YouTube link, Dr. Know! Much better.
The gent sitting behind is apparently Mr. Red, appearing on a bench warrant for FTA. LOL. Guy probably isn't going to love being tied to this...

I also didn't quite understand this... (but granted, I am no great expert in anything legal). The judge very clearly stated that she didn't currently have an attorney and said she would be appointed one, but prior to that, there was this tweet from local media:

The Macomb Daily ‏@macombdaily 34m - Donna Scrivo leaves court to speak in private with her attorney prior to her arraignment on open murder charges involving her son Ramsay

it is actually high for the current charges.:twocents: (and cash)

Yeah, most likely when they have more information and they have enough to charge her with murder.

she mentioned a specific lawyer at the arraignment.

so not sure
