I found this on the gov link for retail fraud.

"(c) With intent to defraud, obtains or attempts to obtain money or property from the store as a refund or exchange for property that was not paid for and belongs to the store if the amount of money or the value of the property obtained or attempted to be obtained is $200.00 or more but less than $1,000.00."

I don't know if she did this, but for some reason I'm picturing this scenario:

Donna goes into the store, she purchases 20 towels that are alike. She pays for this on her CC, they are on sale.
Later Donna returns to the store *after the sale has ended, and takes them to customer service. The sale price sticker has been removed. She claims to have lost the receipt. She asks for money back verses an exchange.
She is credited with a gift card for the full amount rather than the funds to her CC (because she didn't have a receipt).
This means that she's defrauded the business and ends up money in her hand.

I know a few people who run this scheme. Often they use stolen CC's or ones in another person's name. My mom manages Kohl's and has busted people doing this scam during the holiday season.

Ramsay went "missing" on a Friday or maybe the Saturday. She withdrew money on Monday. Just thought I'd toss out that timeline.

Can't access link #10 in the great post from Pharmchick. I missed this entirely (2014/Feb/1 - DS rushed to local hospital complaining of pain and talking about hurting herself, housed in mental health ward upon return [10])

You guys! They are saying the hotwater heater started the fire and they are questioning if Donna set the fire. It was in the basement where Ramsay was asleep, Donna was home when this happened. They are looking into whether Donna started the fire to attempt to kill him then. They have reopened the case.

They have also stated in that livefeed that Ramsay was taken by ambulance because it was said he had taken his fathers' morphine. He later was arrested - at some point - for a hit n' run, assault / fight *they called it a brawl* So it does appear he had anger issues, but I'm wondering if it was a bar fight out in a parking lot?

Anyway, I caught that in the 1 minute live feed broadcast per link above.

pharmchic thank you for putting your most awesome compilation in the timeline thread :rocker:

ummm.. there is something really wrong here and I don't think Ramsay had a choice in what happened at this point in time. Do you all see how huge he was? I am thinking that the tox screen on the parts that they have is a great idea.

If I were that detective I would ask where his other limb is at. I hope they have found it. The charring on some of the items and the bleach makes me think she may think she is very smart and has outsmarted the LE by going on camera and just dropping off bags willy nilly.

Weird that the link won't work. See post #558 from Peliman? That's where I sourced it from. It was fairly new news to me too!

These were the only 2 things worth screen grabbing. Not sure if it's worth much, but thought I'd add it. The document with the date is from the fire.

I was typing fast to catch everything (my short term memory is awful). They said he had stolen/taken. They didn't however say if he actually had ingested it or was found to have any in his system.

tsk tsk

(WJBK) -
ST. CLAIR SHORES, MICHIGAN -- In response to an emergency motion by the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, a district judge increased the bond Tuesday on Donna Scrivo to $250,000 cash.

The judge ruled Tuesday that Scrivo had not been truthful to the court during her arraignment, when she represented financial indigence and requested court-appointed counsel. It was disclosed during today's hearing that Scrivo owns a home in St. Clair Shores valued at approximately $150,000, received two insurance payments this past summer totaling $175,000, owns a 2012 Ford Escape valued at $19,000, and withdrew $8100 from her bank four days prior to her arrest.

Interesting... Am I to assume that the two insurance payouts are both from her husband's death?

Up thread, someone asked about her link to breast cancer. I'm not sure, but some of her FB posts led me to guess that her sister Lxxxx had it. Or the sister was at least also active in that cause.

If you google DS, she seems to leave a lot of online condolences on other people's obits. Not that this means anything. *insert obvious joke about I hope no one ever looks at my own online activity here*

in the court docs she said he was drowsy and she found drugs missing so she could have easily taken them and dosed him like in a drink or food. I think she was on a mission a while ago

So, fire on 2013/July/31...

I also found this updated article:

http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/...case/-/1719314/24289138/-/ob2t5j/-/index.html

According to police report, at the time of the fire Scrivo told police no one was home when the fire broke out. However, the documents from the Fire Marshal tell a different story. Not only was Scrivo home but so too was her son Ramsay. In fact, when the fire broke out Ramsay was asleep in the basement just feet away from where the fire started.

Investigators close to the case said at the time they believed a faulty hot water heater sparked the blaze. But now some are questioning whether this blaze was intentionally set and whether Donna was trying to harm her son. Police will only say they're looking into it.

Can anyone else envision the female detective from the arraignment running back to her office to dredge all this up in response to the 'low' bail? I sure can. She looked miffed and adamant (rightfully so, it would seem).

Thanks. I think they must have been in the process of updating it. Received a 'handler' error repeatedly, but it's resolved now. TY again!

A mother accused of dismembering her son and scattering his body pieces in rural St. Clair County is lodged in the mental health ward of the Macomb County Jail.

In a statement, Macomb County Prosecutor Eric J. Smith said Donna Scrivo was rushed to a hospital Saturday after complaining of pain and talking about hurting herself.

The 60-year-old St. Clair Shores woman will be evaluated for competency and criminal responsibility. All scheduled court dates have been suspended pending those results.

Scrivo’s bond was increased from $100,000 to $250,000 Tuesday morning during an emergency court hearing.

Smith’s statement included Scrivo hadn’t been truthful about her financial situation during the arraignment.

Donna Scrivo, the St. Clair Shores mother accused of removing and dismembering her son's dead body, donated two vehicles to Mother Waddles within days before she was arrested.

"We have thousands of people every year that donate their car to Mother Waddles to do good and to help low income families. We didn't know the whole set of circumstances behind this car," says Rick Frazier. In hindsight, he says the circumstances are nothing short of surreal.

The same day investigators found Ramsay Scrivo's remains in garbage bags along a St. Clair County road, the Detroit charity received an urgent call from an eager donor - Donna Scrivo.

"At 5 o'clock that same day she's calling Mother Waddles saying, 'I want my car picked up but I need it picked up as soon as possible,'" Frazier remembers.

It was a 1996 Chevy Trailblazer. Investigators believe she used it to dump her son's remains.

And just three days before that donation, she had made another one.

"On January 27 she gave another car to Mother Waddles, a 2006 Ford Focus, on the date that she said her son was missing. So, the question is, was that her son's car?" says Frazier.

St. Clair Shores police executed a search warrant for both vehicles at Mother Waddles looking for evidence, namely saliva or blood that may have been inside either vehicle as quote "a result of the intentional death of Ramsay David Scrivo."

"The person that took the phone call was like, 'Oh my God, I talked to this lady at 5 o'clock. This is the car she used to dispose of the body parts.' The tow company was like, 'Oh my gosh, I towed that car in, there was blood in the back seat,'" Frazier says.
