@SRhen .. Thank you so much for being here to let us know about your mom's disappearance and to share whatever information you can. I am so sorry that you are here under such distressing circumstances.

Websleuths requires any friends or family members to be verified so we know they are who they claim to be, and so our members can rely on what information is being provided.

Please read HERE where it explains why we have this process in place and how to apply. We strongly encourage you to apply so that you can share whatever you are able to about your mom's case without having to provide links to what you state as fact. (Without verification, any information stated as fact must be sourced to MSM or LE.)

Our verification process is a very easy process and quick (usually within 48 hours). We do hope you will apply.

We have confirmation through evidence that she did make it back to her house Friday night after the fair.
I feel horrible about what you guys are going thru. I just hope she's found soon.

More info was released showing they know she did make it home from the fair. "We have continuous glucose monitor readings tied to [Starla's] phone, which is tied to us having her location," said Steffanie.

The device used to manage Starla's diabetes was connected to her phone via Bluetooth.

Steffanie said there are documented glucose readings from Starla's device that place her at the house until about midnight, which is when her husband told police she had driven away from home.

After midnight, there are no more logged glucose readings.

So she made it home but her car didn't?

“Sheriff’s department waits on forensics as search for missing Alger woman continues”
OCT 8, 2025
“[SBM]

Alger County Sheriff Todd Brock explains that the department, alongside assisting agencies, are working search areas daily. He said that they have reached out to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for assistance regarding the case as well.

‘We’re still working (at) it very persistently along with the State Police. We’ve reached out to the FBI to do some work for us, which they’ve gladly said they would help us on, and at this point we’re waiting for forensics to come back. We’re waiting (on) results from some forensics,’ said Brock. ‘Our office is working closely with a retired state police detective, Michael Neiger. He’s doing some work for the family and doing some investigation on this case also.’

Brock also says that the case is still being treated as a missing person’s case, and no person of interest has been determined.

‘We have not determined a person of interest at this time. We’re still treating it as a missing person’s case,’ Brock said. ‘We’re waiting on forensics and hopefully, as we get the results back on forensics, it’ll lead us in a direction. We’re hopeful.’
