I can see why LE might keep things close to the chest (Rebecca Park case is a great example) but this one feels a little hopeless at the moment IMO.

I actually did attempt to go through the verification process. I sent in my email including my ID and sent at least 2-3 follow up emails and have received radio silence.

In regards to updates unfortunately I do not have anything I can give you or discuss. I can tell you that the search for my mother has not stopped and law enforcement is still working on finding her and bringing justice to the situation. While I understand with no information people become restless and agitated about law enforcement, but trust and believe if we as her family can be patient and understanding I can assure the public can too.

Ok, now that I have been verified,d I’ll provide a timeline, and what we know to have been done by law enforcement. I don’t feel comfortable sharing my opinion on who I believe is responsible for my mother, Starla goings, and her disappearance, as this has not been established or publicly discussed by law enforcement. However,r I am more than willing to answer questions as long as they are respectful. If it’s something I’m not comfortable with or cannot answer, I will still respond, letting you know that. I’ll try not to miss anyone or ignore anyone.

Something I want to address, I will probably from here on out refer to my mother as my mother and Starla, and I apologize if that becomes confusing. Another part of this story is Steve Goings. Steve is Nick Livermore(my brother and Starla's son) and my biological father. We have been estranged from him since 2023, because of this I do not call him my dad, but I refer to him by his name, Stephen “Steve” Goings. As well as I live near Orlando, Florida, and Nick lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Some other things that may be important to share during this. Starla filed for divorce from Steve Goings back in late May,y and if my memory serves me, she served him papers in early June. She continued to live at the home they shared on 16 Mile Lake. Once she had the property appraised, neither Steve nor Starla could remove anything from the property per the ongoing divorce case.
We begged my mother to move out of the home they shared, but she would repeatedly tell us she was afraid of what would happen to her belongings, as she could not move them off their property if she left them unattended.

*Wednesday, Aug 13, 2025 - Thursday, Aug 14, 2025:
Steve Goings(Starla’s husband posted very crass and disturbing Facebook posts about Starla. I have provided a couple of examples.

*Thursday, August 14, 2025 :
Starla picks up a check from her lawyer's office in Marquette from the sale of a rental propertythat Steve and she owned.

*Friday, August 15:
Starla goes to work and then tells Nick she is going to be attending the UP state fair in Escanaba with Steve that evening. When Nick and I asked for an explanation as to why she would go to the fair with him, she said, “I am not reconciling with Stephen. I wanted cotton candy. I rode in a car to Escanaba and ate fair food. Nothing more. The nicer I am, the easier my life goes. “-direct quote from a text I received from her at 10:04 pm.
Starla’s location via Apple location shows her at her home on 16 Mile Lake that evening after returning from the fair in Escanaba with her continuous glucose monitor providing readings until 12 am that night (Saturday, Aug 16). At that point,t there is no further reading, meaning her monitor lost connection with her phone.

*Saturday, Aug 1,6 2025:
As stated,d Starla’s CGM lost connection with her phone at midnight.
I texted her asking if we could talk about her going to the fair with Steve the night prior. I received no response.

*Sunday, Aug 17, 2025:
5:45 pm: Nick called me asking if I had heard from our mom,m and I looked at my texts to her and they showed as not delivered. My husband called Starla and Steve’s landline phone, to which Steve picked up. My husband asked is available, Steve responded with no, I haven’t seen her, and hung up.
We decided to call the Alger County Sheriff’s office to do a welfare check at Starla and Steve’s home on 16 Mile Lake. When ACSO arrived, they foundmyy mother’s car parked at the end of 16 Mile Lake Road where it meets M94. There is a park and ride area there that we often would park at and ride places together.

THIS IS NOT CONFIRMED AS TO WHAT HAPPENED. THIS IS JUST BACKGROUND INFORMATION: it would not be odd for my mother to park there and then ride with someone to lets say, Marquette or Escanaba. Growing up, we did that often,n like on our way home from work, if we didn’t want to drive the 3 miles back into 16-mile lake just to turn around and leave again.

Once ACSO arrived at Steve and Starla’s home, they were willingly invited inside by Steve. However, my mother was not there.

We still have not found my mother alive or found her body. It has been 134 days since I last had contact with my mother.

Since then, law enforcement has utilized several departments,s but not limited to search and rescue, state police, Alger county sheriff's department, search dogs, drones, helicopters, and more. They have thoroughly searched the property inside and out. They have and continue to search thesurroundingg areas. We have heard reports of some law enforcement agents working out in the field searching for my mother until they reach exhaustion and fall. I do not know a lot of specifics on what evidence was found evidence wise that I am able to share.

As Starla’s family, we are blown away by the support not only from the community but also from law enforcement. I can tell you law enforcement is treating this as if this were one of their own family members.

We all need to remember that law enforcement has to follow specific rules, laws, and processes to be able to bring justice to this situation, and that takes time.
